Alex Bores is a New York State Assemblymember for Manhattan's East Side, recognized for proactive AI legislation. A former data scientist at Palantir with a master's in computer science, he left due to ethical concerns over the company's ICE collaboration. Bores introduced several AI bills focused on consumer protections, data transparency, and digital content authenticity. Elected in 2022 as the first Democrat in the legislature with a computer science degree, he collaborates closely with tech companies to create effective AI policies.
