❗️ Sales of the euro intensified against the backdrop of the development of the energy crisis in the EU. As of today, Gazprom has completely suspended gas supplies to Europe. The EU authorities have initiated an urgent meeting of energy ministers on September 9 to discuss emergency steps to change the situation with a sharp increase in fuel prices.
📣 The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced work on the reform of the Eurozone electricity market in order to minimize dependence on imports. Be that as it may, this does not make it any easier for European consumers. Gas prices are making new highs, as is inflation in Europe.
📉 Analysts recommend holding “short” positions on the EUR/USD pair with a target of 0.9800.
