State Secretary Marte Gerhardsen of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence welcomed the Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Defence, Mr Kazuhiro Kobayashi and his distinguished delegation in Oslo yesterday.
´We discussed perspectives on the security developments in Europe and the Indo-Pacific, and our shared commitment to continue to support Ukraine. All of Norway’s F-35s delivered: – The acquisition is a success story ✈️🇺🇸
🇳🇴 Norway is the first country to receive all its planned F-35 fighter jets.
‘This is a success story. The fighter jets were delivered on schedule, and the F-35 is performing beyond expectations’, said Minister of Defence @toreosa during a ceremony this week marking the delivery of all 52 aircraft to the Royal Norwegian Air Force.
‘The aircraft ensure that we can safeguard Norwegian sovereignty and maintain even better control over our areas on land, at sea and in the air’, the Minister added.

Statuene ble reist til minne om barkskipet Dictator, som forliste utenfor Virginia i 1891. Et norsk skip - en amerikansk redningsinnsats. Hvert år møtes mennesker ved de to statuene for å minnes tragedien og samtidig hedre vårt vennskap med USA. 🤝
💡Visste du at Moss og Virginia Beach er vennskapsbyer?
Hvert år inviteres det til høytidelige markeringer ved de to søsterstatuene.
3. gardekompani besøker USA i anledning Virginia International Tattoo, og markerer samtidig 200-årsjubileet for den norske utvandringen til USA.
