Madhya Pradeshโs cheetah conservation efforts are set to roar louder! 8 cheetahs will be brought from Botswana ๐โ๏ธ โ 4 arriving by May 2025, rest in Phase 2 . Talks are also on with South Africa and Kenya for future collaboration ๐๐ค.
Currently, 26 cheetahs ๐๐พ live at Kuno National Park ๐๏ธ
A proposal to train 400 โCheetah Mitras โ ๐ฅ๐ from 80 villages ๐๏ธ in Sheopur with support from IIFM Bhopal ๐๐ฑ is also in motion. With โน 112 crore ๐ฐ invested, MP is racing ahead ๐โโ๏ธ๐จ in conservation!

India is set to send six Royal Bengal tigers ๐
to Cambodia ๐ฐ๐ญ after the monsoon, marking a big step in global wildlife conservation ๐. Tigers have been extinct there since 2016, but with help from Indiaโs WII and NTCA ๐ฎ๐ณ, Cambodia has restored habitats ๐ณ, curbed poaching ๐ซ, and increased prey. The tigers will be released in Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary and the Cardamom Mountains โฐ๏ธ. This move could boost ecotourism ๐ฟ and inspire more global reintroductions in the future.
