India is launching its own Great Green Wall from Porbandar to Rajghat to restore the Aravalli ecosystem, curb desertification, and combat climate change.

Mukhi, India's first native cheetah, has turned two 🎉, marking a significant milestone in the country's cheetah conservation efforts at Kuno National Park 🐆. As the first cheetah born in India after reintroduction, Mukhi has successfully mastered hunting and is now self-sufficient in the wild 🏞️. 🦁 India to Get 8 Cheetahs from Botswana under Project Cheetah 🦁

Madhya Pradesh’s cheetah conservation efforts are set to roar louder! 8 cheetahs will be brought from Botswana 🐆✈️ — 4 arriving by May 2025, rest in Phase 2 . Talks are also on with South Africa and Kenya for future collaboration 🌍🤝.

Currently, 26 cheetahs 🐆🐾 live at Kuno National Park 🏞️

A proposal to train 400 ‘Cheetah Mitras ’ 👥📚 from 80 villages 🏘️ in Sheopur with support from IIFM Bhopal 🎓🌱 is also in motion. With ₹ 112 crore 💰 invested, MP is racing ahead 🏃‍♂️💨 in conservation!

Leopards are the most widely distributed large felidae species, found in 63 countries.

Leopards are solitary cats and are mainly nocturnal.

India is set to send six Royal Bengal tigers 🐅 to Cambodia 🇰🇭 after the monsoon, marking a big step in global wildlife conservation 🌍. Tigers have been extinct there since 2016, but with help from India’s WII and NTCA 🇮🇳, Cambodia has restored habitats 🌳, curbed poaching 🚫, and increased prey. The tigers will be released in Tatai Wildlife Sanctuary and the Cardamom Mountains ⛰️. This move could boost ecotourism 🌿 and inspire more global reintroductions in the future.
