India's Great Green Wall: A Step Towards Sustainability

India is launching its own Great Green Wall from Porbandar to Rajghat to restore the Aravalli ecosystem, curb desertification, and combat climate change.

Key Benefits:
โœ… Acts as a carbon sink
โœ… Prevents Thar Desert expansion
โœ… Boosts groundwater recharge
โœ… Provides livelihood opportunities
โœ… Restores degraded land

Project Scale: Covers: 27 districts
(3 states + Delhi) Cost: โ‚น7,500 crore
Target: Completion by 2027
Funding: 78% Centre, 20% States, 2% Others

Leopards are the most widely distributed large felidae species, found in 63 countries.

Leopards are solitary cats and are mainly nocturnal.

India is set to send six Royal Bengal tigers ๐Ÿ… to Cambodia ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ญ after the monsoon, marking a big step in global wildlife conservation ๐ŸŒ.
