And in April 2023 he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since May 2023 he was an instructor in UAV handling for the Global Drone Academy project. He was mostly in Kiev, but visited the front line.
Dropping grenades on the Russians was not as epic as he thought.
In June 2023 Valera was seriously wounded near Bakhmut. On 03.07.2023 he died in a hospital in Kiev.

Born in Sweden, 27th of November, 1988.
Army career: Coastal Jäger Company, Finland, 2006, and Home Guard, Sweden, 2008 (dual citizenship).
He participated in the conflict in Ukraine in 2014 - 2017
Worked as a translator home in Sundsvall, Sweden, before joining Azov in 2014, and was back and forth to Ukraine up to 2017.
Wrote a book, The Foreigner Group, about his experiences in Ukraine, as well as an series of articles for an military on-line forum.
The book was delayed for many years, due to problems finding a publisher. He is happy that the war began as he could finally get money by publishing this trash.
