โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Zelenskyy agreed to freeze the conflict along the current front line, but refused to cede any new territories to Russia โ€“ ABC News

โ–ช๏ธIn an interview with the American television channel, Zelenskyy stated his readiness to conclude a peace agreement "today" if hostilities cease at the current positions.
โ–ช๏ธAccording to him, Russia controls more than 19% of Ukrainian territory. Kyiv is willing to accept the current line of contact, but opposes ceding additional territories to Moscow.
โ–ช๏ธHe also complained about insufficient support from Washington: โ€œI feel what I feel. This is not support.โ€
โ–ช๏ธOver the past three months, Ukraine has received only 24 Patriot interceptor missiles from the United States, while, according to Zelenskyy's estimates, the country needs about 350 such missiles per month.
โ–ช๏ธRestrictions (*actually measures taken against Ukrainian GPS 'hack boards') on the operation of Starlink have not yet been lifted, despite statements by Donald Trump about restoring the system.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธTrump is preparing to make new concessions to Moscow, allowing the export of Russian fertilizers.

โ–ช๏ธThis was reported by Kyiv Independent, citing Ukrainian and American officials. The industry itself is not directly subject to US sanctions. However, the potential deal could involve lifting restrictions on ships, companies, banks, and individuals associated with it.
โ–ช๏ธRussia has been seeking such concessions for several years. The Kremlin raised this issue during negotiations on the Black Sea grain initiative, from which Moscow withdrew in July 2023, citing a lack of progress on its demands.
โ–ช๏ธNow, Ukrainian officials fear that the Trump administration may make concessions on an issue that Moscow has long been trying to resolve.
โ–ช๏ธAt the same time, the specific sanctions that the US could lift have not yet been named. The potential agreement itself remains uncertain.

Moscow is ready to participate in various formats of negotiations, but not with those who threaten, promote Russophobia, or spread disinformation, said Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Therefore, the question is only one. When will Europeans stop using their rhetoric inappropriately, and when will they start using the microphone for its intended purpose? Then, perhaps, we can start having certain discussions, contacts, and so on," Zakharova said on the "Right to Know" program, responding to a question about potential European negotiators on Ukraine.

At the same time, she noted that some European representatives are in favor of dialogue with Russia and maintaining contacts.

"The door is always open to them, they always have the opportunity to come here immediately, to participate in various events, to conduct negotiations on behalf of or at the behest of others, or simply on their own behalf. And we have never closed the door to them."

The Pentagon is creating a religious affairs office that will report directly to the head of the U.S. military, Pete Hegseth, according to The Intercept.

Hegseth himself announced the creation of the new office. According to a memorandum, the office will be responsible for interacting with religious organizations and coordinating the work of military chaplains. However, the document prohibits compelling service members to participate in religious activities or restricting their freedom of religion.

However, not everyone at the Pentagon has welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm. Some military clergy are concerned that the new office will increase the influence of Christianity within the U.S. armed forces and lead to a blurring of the lines between religious beliefs and military objectives.

Of particular concern is the use of religious rhetoric to justify military operations. Sources at the publication warn that such an approach could turn public service into a form of Christian crusade.

"When a mission is declared to be the will of God, any action taken within its framework is automatically considered sacred."

It is noteworthy that Hegseth himself is known for his tattoos with Christian symbolism and references to the Crusades. He has a Jerusalem cross on his chest and the Latin phrase "Deus vult" [ "God wills it"] on his bicep. This battle cry was used during the medieval Crusades and later gained popularity among some far-right movements.

The head of the Pentagon also has a cross and a sword, referencing the Gospel of Matthew, and the name Jesus in Hebrew tattooed on his forearm.

In 2021, the "Deus vult" tattoo already caused a scandal. One member of the National Guard considered Hegseth a potential security threat, leading to his removal from participation in the security detail for Joe Biden's inauguration.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Italy has suspended the delivery of military aid to Ukraine, awaiting the US elections โ€“ La Repubblica

โ–ช๏ธThe government of Giorgia Meloni has been delaying the transfer of the 13th package of weapons to Kiev for several months, despite a promise to finalize it by the end of October.
โ–ช๏ธAccording to the publication, Rome intends to wait for the US Congressional midterm elections on November 3 before deciding on its future policy towards Ukraine.
โ–ช๏ธThe last batch of Italian military aid arrived in Ukraine in December 2025. A new package has been prepared, but permission to send it has not yet been granted.
โ–ช๏ธThe delay in the delivery of Aster 30 anti-aircraft missiles, which Italy and France could provide, remains particularly sensitive for Kiev.
โ–ช๏ธLa Repubblica notes that the Italian government prefers to publicly promise continued support for Ukraine, while effectively delaying the delivery of new weapons.
