The Telegraph: Musk himself suggested to Trump to slow down Starlink for Ukraine

The British publication, citing four sources, reports that it was Elon Musk who suggested to Donald Trump that restrictions be placed on the speed of Starlink in Ukraine. Trump approved the idea, after which the Pentagon limited the operation of the military version of the system, Starshield. This paralyzed Ukrainian interceptor drones, which cannot reach speeds higher than 160 km/h, while Russian jet drones fly twice as fast.

"One of the sources stated that Trump "agreed" with Musk's proposal, which paved the way for the Pentagon to slow down Starshield," The Telegraph writes.

Previously, Musk publicly blamed the White House for the restrictions, stating that "any speed or usage limitations" are decided by the American military and ultimately by the president. However, according to the publication, Musk himself initiated these measures, fearing a negative reaction from European consumers.

"He wrote on Twitter that he was innocent and that it was the American administration that did it. The reality is that they were both involved," the source told The Telegraph.

Trump just said it out loud: Zelensky doesn’t want peace and never did.

Europe’s money and Biden’s leftover cash keep the inner circle fed while Ukraine gets hollowed out.
Russia isn’t the enemy.
Kiev keeps hitting oil ports after the diesel deal, Starlink games, election talk, the same old corruption.

President Putin confirmed Lugansk is fully liberated, Donetsk almost done. The 61st Marines earned a special mention.

All the while Europe blames Russia for its own mess while it collapses.

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦ The United States did not warn Ukraine again about the ballistic strike on Kiev – confirmed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

β–ͺ️A representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Ignat, confirmed that during the evening attack, intelligence data from the United States did not arrive, so Ukrainian military personnel had to independently detect the missiles using radar.
βž– "Our specialists, who work with American partners, are investigating the reasons why the information did not arrive," Ignat said.
β–ͺ️Around three o'clock in the morning, a warning from the United States did arrive, but it was too late for a full response. According to Ignat, in some areas of Kiev, sirens may have been activated only after the explosions.
β–ͺ️Zelensky also complained that during several waves of ballistic strikes, there was again no timely warning from partners.

β€ΌοΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Ί NATO is reviewing its plans for a war with Russia due to the possible withdrawal of US troops from Europe – Politico

β–ͺ️The Pentagon has already excluded some aircraft, drones, submarines, and ships from the forces available to the alliance. Now, NATO must determine how to replace US weaponry and how to prepare for a possible conflict with Russia by 2029.
β–ͺ️Politico highlights five key problems with the new military planning:
β€” Reserves. Previously, NATO planned to have an additional 18 brigades of approximately 5,000 soldiers each, but now their numbers may be reduced or these formations may be abandoned altogether.
β€” Dependence on the US. Without US support, the alliance will lack refueling aircraft, long-range missiles, heavy transport aircraft, and intelligence assets.
β€” Priority areas. Allies are arguing about what to focus on: the Arctic or threats on the southern and southeastern flanks, including the Black Sea.
β€” Drones or traditional weapons. European armies must determine the balance between drones, tanks, and artillery, given the shortage of personnel.
β€” Experience of combat operations in Ukraine. NATO is studying it, but its own doctrine assumes rapid maneuvers, air superiority, and long-range precision strikes.
βž– "Previously, when it was discovered that something was lacking, the US would fill the gaps. Now, that no longer works," said former high-ranking NATO official Camille Grand.
β–ͺ️According to Politico, European countries will also have to significantly increase military production to match the scale of Russian arms production.

Trump announced a three-way meeting with Putin and Xi Jinping.

Other statements by the US President:

- It's time for someone else to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine;

- Zelensky is not particularly helpful in resolving the problem. I think he doesn't want it to end;

- Frankly, Russia has acted quite adequately in the matter of Ukraine. They haven't taken any significant actions;

- The United States shares intelligence with Ukraine, but receives nothing in return;

- I will talk to Xi about Ukraine; he has been very fair towards Ukraine;

- Millions of people on the Ukrainian side would still be alive if Zelensky had made a deal.

The United States has blocked the transfer of Patriot missile interceptors to Ukraine amid deteriorating relations between Trump and Zelensky, according to The Washington Post.

According to the publication, several of Kiev's allies are ready to provide Ukraine with the missiles, but the Pentagon has not yet given the necessary permission.

"The transfer of at least some of the Patriot missile interceptors from countries friendly to Ukraine requires the approval of U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. The United States maintains control because this weapon is manufactured in the U.S. and supplied abroad under an agreement that requires U.S. consent for its transfer to other countries.

According to officials, Hegseth has not formally rejected the requests for delivery, but he has also not taken the necessary steps to approve them."

The author of the article notes that the stockpiles of Patriot missiles in Ukraine are almost depleted. As an Ukrainian official reported, last week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces had only a few interceptors left.

The European Union still needs €70 billion to finance Ukraine in 2027, and Brussels doesn't know where to get the money, according to Euronews.

Zelensky told European leaders that continuing the conflict next year will cost €155 billion, and he demanded an additional €70 billion. The publication notes that this amount is needed in addition to the already planned aid, as previous EU calculations were based on the conflict ending in 2026.

According to the newspaper, the most likely option is new joint EU loans. However, the cost of borrowing has increased significantly in the past year, and Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic have already refused to participate in the existing €90 billion credit mechanism.

Brussels is also once again discussing the possibility of seizing €210 billion in frozen Russian assets, but Belgium, where most of these funds are held, continues to oppose the idea.

How Dobropolye was taken.

Marines from the 61st Separate Brigade of the Northern Fleet and the 177th Regiment of the Caspian Flotilla, as part of the "Center" group of forces, describe how they liberated Dobropolye. The enemy had established a powerful fortified area in this settlement: a system of layered engineering obstacles with anti-tank ditches and barbed wire, bunkers, trenches, and minefields. Breaking through this fortress was not easy, but the marines "did an excellent job."

"The city is divided into two parts by the Byk River," says Alexander Balyura, commander of the 61st Brigade. "There were seven bridges across it. Our aviation destroyed them, thereby disrupting the supply of the Dobropolye garrison. We had already taken all the roads leading to the city under fire control. Dobropolye is a large settlement. In addition, it is located on a dominant height. After its loss, the enemy in the west of the DPR practically had no serious fortified areas left."

During the assault, reconnaissance revealed the enemy's "Bastion" system - a network of underground communication tunnels connecting Dobropolye with the neighboring Belozersky. Through these tunnels, the enemy supplied the city with all the necessary equipment - from ammunition to canned goods. Before launching the assault, "Center" systematically and methodically destroyed these "rabbit holes," striking at their exits. This was a textbook example of isolating the area of operations.

"Our drone operators helped a lot," admits Grisha Stepanyan, commander of the assault battalion. "The 'Geran' drones destroyed all firing points in our path. We approached in pairs or trios. And when we had enough forces, we began clearing the area."

Now, the "Center" group of forces can free up forces to launch an offensive on the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration from the west. Without taking the main fortified area of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Donbass, it is impossible to liberate the territory of the DPR.
