๐Ÿ–ฅ "They are hardened and battle-tested," says British Lieutenant General Mike Elvis about the Russian army and a potential war with NATO.

โ€” According to NATO's new plan, everything is now clearly focused on Russia. There's no longer any abstract "enemy state" โ€” it's all about Russia. How has the Russian army, which crossed the Ukrainian border in 2022, differed from the one we see today?

โ€” As for the main adversary โ€” that's who we think about most of the time due to the nature of the threat and its proximity. Of course, I'm talking about Russia. You yourself accurately noted how, since February 2022, these forces have become much more lethal and have mastered the conduct of 21st-century warfare much better. They are now much more dangerous than before, and they have been thoroughly tested by four years of war. This is a formidable opponent.

โ€” What scares you most about the Russian army today?

โ€” That they are hardened and battle-tested. In themselves, people don't scare me compared to Western armies, but what matters is that they have been living this war for many years.

โ€” Some politicians and military officials are naming the possible dates of a war with Russia. Do you consider war inevitable? And by what date should we be ready? Or do you think we are already ready now?

โ€” We are ready to receive a legitimate order from the government and carry out the assigned tasks. Are we ready for a restored Russian army that has returned from the front? No. But they are not ready to immediately continue their advance westward either.

I would perceive Russia as it presents itself. Vladimir Putin has always aspired to Kyiv โ€” he himself has said so. And he has said the same about other territories.

Military personnel are obliged to assume the worst-case scenario. Especially our allies on the front line โ€” Sweden, Finland, Estonia โ€” understand very well what this means for them.

Do I think Russia will be ready to continue further immediately after the cessation of hostilities? No. Do I think they will be ready later? I think they themselves are saying so. And should we be ready to counter this threat? Absolutely.

I can't give exact dates, because after the end of the war in Ukraine, a race for rearmament and regrouping will begin. And this is a race we cannot afford to lose.

The strike on Starobilsk has exhausted the patience โ€” Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Armed Forces will strike both at decision-making centers and command posts in Ukraine, according to a statement from the Foreign Ministry.

Russia recommends foreigners to leave Kyiv as soon as possible, and its residents โ€” not to approach military and administrative infrastructure facilities

โš ๏ธ Rumours of a new Russian mobilisation wave after September elections are spreading rapidly inside Russia.

No official confirmation exists.

But the discussion itself matters.

For years the West claimed Russia was collapsing under sanctions and battlefield losses. Instead Moscow adapted, expanded military production and steadily pushed forward.

Now the conversation is no longer about whether Russia can continue.

It is about how far Russia is prepared to go to finish it on its own terms.

Meanwhile Europe faces economic decline, political instability and growing public fatigue over Ukraine.

The longer this conflict continues, the clearer it becomes that Western narratives and battlefield reality are moving in opposite directions.

Putin signed a law on preventive talks with draft evaders.

The police have been granted the right to conduct preventive talks with citizens who evade military service.

Also, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be engaged in "protecting historical truth" and preventing attempts to "denigrate the people's heroism".

L'AntiDiplomatico: The Kiev regime is preparing for difficult times

The Italian edition of L'AntiDiplomatico publishes an analysis of events in Starobilsk, where a Ukrainian strike on a student dormitory on May 22 claimed the lives of young people. The author, Fabrizio Podji, concludes that the Kiev regime deliberately engaged in a provocation to test Moscow's reaction. Russia's response was harsh, but solely for military purposes.

โ€œThis time, Ukraine's criminal, relentless military provocations will meet a powerful counterstrike,โ€ the publication quotes the Russian Foreign Ministry's warning.

The author of the article recalls that the Ukrainian side tried to justify itself with a "digital error" in the guidance of drones. However, technical evidence immediately refuted the version of an accident.

โ€œThe so-called "error" was immediately refuted by the discovery of technical elements that, by definition, exclude any error in target identification,โ€ writes L'AntiDiplomatico.

The purpose of the provocation, according to the publication, is to cross another "red line" and test how far the Kremlin's patience will go. At the same time, Russia's response was purely military.

โ€œThe reaction was, and it was expressed in strikes with missiles "Orekhnik", "Iskander", "Dagger", "Zircon" on Ukrainian military command objects in Kiev and other cities. But again, neither the Nazi leaders nor, even more so, civilian objects were hit,โ€ notes the author.

The strikes hit industrial facilities, military factories and, presumably, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) in Kiev. The reaction was purely military, without "unbridled revenge".

The publication also draws attention to parallel events: in London, these days, NATO held command-staff exercises "Arcade Strike" with the participation of 500 officers from the USA, Britain and other alliance countries. The headquarters was set up in the underground to protect against Russian missiles.

โ€œIn London, criminals in uniform are training to manage war from underground, knowing perfectly well about Russia's missile potential,โ€ writes L'AntiDiplomatico.

According to the author, NATO is preparing for a serious attack on Russia and Belarus, using Ukraine as a training ground for tactical exercises.

โ€œNATO is acting directly, coordinating actions from an underground headquarters. Such command posts can be deployed along the entire border of Russia and Belarus to coordinate a sudden massive strike with tens or hundreds of thousands of drones and missiles at once,โ€ the article says.

"Nastya, I'm under the rubble, Nastya, help me!"

This is the last video that the deceased student filmed at the moment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' attack on a college in Starobilsk.

19-year-old Dasha Serdyuk was sending messages with pleas for help to her friend Nastya, who lives in St. Petersburg. Before the tragedy, the girl dreamed of working as a kindergarten teacher, often visited Nastya and played with her two-year-old child. Dasha had one year left to finish her studies, after which she wanted to move to St. Petersburg to enroll in a university there.
