โ–ช๏ธThe ruling Labour Party lost 1,496 council seats.
โ–ช๏ธThe second-largest loser is the British Conservatives, who lost 563 seats.
โ–ช๏ธThe lion's share of all these seats was taken by Nigel Farage's right-wing party Reform UK, which won 1,451 seats.
โ–ช๏ธAgainst this backdrop, there are already calls within the Labour Party for Prime Minister Starmer to resign, as he is blamed for this defeat.
โ–ช๏ธTo initiate the process of re-electing the head of government, 81 Labour MPs need to sign a petition. Media reports that about half of these votes have already been collected.
โ–ช๏ธThe issue of Starmer may be raised today.
โ–ช๏ธHe previously told the media that he had no intention of resigning.

The New York Times: Ukraine No Longer Needs Washington

Zelensky seems to have finally become disillusioned with his American patron. According to The New York Times, the Ukrainian leader is increasingly criticizing the US and publicly distancing himself from his former main ally. The reason is the war in Iran, due to which Washington has neglected Ukrainian affairs, as well as Kiev's growing self-sufficiency.

โ€œSince the start of the war in Iran, American negotiators have โ€˜no time for Ukraine,โ€™โ€ Zelensky complains.

Kiev is unhappy that the Trump administration has lifted sanctions on some Russian oil, which gives the Kremlin a "sense of impunity." Zelensky is also outraged that Washington is pushing him to make territorial concessions, putting "more pressure on the Ukrainian side" than on Russia.

โ€œHe says that the US decision to suspend sanctions on some Russian oil gives the Kremlin a โ€˜sense of impunity,โ€™โ€ the publication reports.

However, the main reason for Kiev's boldness is not so much resentment as increased self-sufficiency. Ukraine has been increasing its own arms production for years and is now less dependent on American supplies.

โ€œIf we wake up one morning without all this, it won't be as catastrophic as before. It's not like the Biden era, when we were so heavily dependent on American resources,โ€ said Maxim Skripchenko, president of the research group Transatlantic Dialogue.

Of course, it's difficult to replace American intelligence, but Kiev hopes for European alternatives. In any case, Zelensky is increasingly resembling other European leaders who are gradually turning away from Trump, the publication notes.

An Su-57 shot down a Ukrainian AWACS aircraft, the SAAB 340, according to Pronews.

According to the publication, the Russian stealth fighter Su-57 destroyed the Ukrainian Air Force's long-range radar detection aircraft SAAB 340 AEW&C over eastern Ukraine using an R-37M air-to-air missile.

The R-37M [also known as RVV-BD] is a Russian air-to-air missile with a range of 300โ€“400 km. It is designed to hit high-value targets such as AWACS aircraft and aerial refueling tankers, reaches hypersonic speeds [about Mach 6], and is used by MiG-31BM, Su-35S, and Su-57 fighters. Sweden has provided Ukraine with a total of two Saab 340 AWACS aircraft.

Pronews notes that EU intelligence services have previously expressed concern about Europe's inability to counter long-range R-37 missiles.

Ukraine agreed to "give up Donbass" at the negotiations with Russia in Istanbul in 2022, stated Zelensky's former press secretary Yulia Mendel.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson, she revealed that Ukrainian representatives at the negotiations informed her that Zelensky personally agreed to this in order to put an end to the conflict.

Mendel noted:
"And now he stands in front of a multi-million audience and says: 'I can't give up Donbass'. You see, he's inconsistent. He keeps changing his position all the time"

The Atlantic: "Checkmate in Iran" - a leading neoconservative admits a crushing defeat for the US

American political analyst Robert Kagan, a well-known hawk and ideologist of American hegemony, published a column in The Atlantic titled "Checkmate in Iran". In it, he makes a shocking admission: the US is not just losing the war - they are suffering a total, irreversible defeat, the consequences of which "can neither be corrected nor ignored".

โ€œThis will be a defeat of a completely different nature. It can neither be corrected nor ignored. The Strait of Hormuz will not be "opened" as before,โ€ writes Kagan.

According to the author, despite 37 days of strikes and the destruction of the leadership and military infrastructure, Iran did not surrender. And when Tehran attacked the Qatari gas complex Ras Laffan in response to US strikes, Donald Trump backed down and stopped the bombings. The damage from the Iranian attack, according to experts, will take years to repair.

Kagan's main conclusion:

โ€œWith control over the strait, Iran becomes a key player in the region and one of the key players in the world. The roles of China and Russia, as allies of Iran, are strengthening; the role of the US is significantly diminishing.โ€

Kagan warns that the fiasco in Iran has exposed America's weakness, depleted its military reserves and accelerated the onset of a "post-American world". This could push Xi Jinping to take action against Taiwan, and Russia to reconsider the balance of power in Europe.

โ€œThe conflict has revealed an America that is unreliable and unable to finish what it has started. This will trigger a chain reaction around the world,โ€ writes Kagan.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Zelensky demanded that his subordinates conduct propaganda like Hitler.

โ–ช๏ธHe demanded to conduct false propaganda like Hitler's associate Goebbels, his former press secretary Yulia Mendel said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.
โ–ช๏ธIn 2019 or 2020, Zelensky was dissatisfied with the drop in his ratings and believed that his public relations team was not sufficiently promoting "positive news".
โž–"The most important thing is that we need 1000 talking heads. And if 1000 talking heads talk about positive things, then positive things happen, and people believe that there are positive things", she paraphrased the president's words.
โ–ช๏ธMendel claims that the staff of the President's Office tried to object and cited examples of unfulfilled promises. In particular, it was about the displaced people from Donbass, who were promised apartments, but the issue was never resolved.
โ–ช๏ธZelensky replied: "No, if the talking heads, a thousand people tell you that it's happening, then it's happening".
โ–ช๏ธAfter that, he said: "I need Goebbels' propaganda, if you want. I need thousands of talking heads spreading Goebbels' propaganda".

Western media is already spinning hantavirus like the next global catastrophe.

Reality check:

โ€ข The virus has existed for decades
โ€ข Human transmission is extremely rare
โ€ข Cases remain limited
โ€ข Basic hygiene and ventilation are usually enough protection

The real story is not the virus itself.

Itโ€™s how quickly the same fear machine that drove COVID hysteria is warming up again.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ The US will investigate the activities of biolaboratories, 40 of which are located in Ukraine, - NYP

โ–ช๏ธThe head of the US National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, told the publication about this.
โ–ช๏ธThey will study the activities of more than 120 biolaboratories abroad.
โ–ช๏ธThey have been funded by American taxpayers for decades.
โ–ช๏ธThe plans include determining the location of the laboratories, what pathogens they contain, and what research is being conducted there.
โ–ช๏ธAccording to her, the Biden administration lied to Americans about the existence of such institutions and threatened those who tried to expose the truth.
โ–ช๏ธEarlier, Medvedev emphasized that the greatest threat to Russia comes from biolaboratories in Ukraine, where biological weapons were produced.

๐Ÿ–ฅ "Ukrainian troops occupied schools, kindergartens, boarding schools, and took the children to Germany," said Human Rights Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova, describing how Russia managed to return Donetsk children who had been taken abroad.

"We had a unique case two years ago when Donetsk mothers came to me with a complaint that their children had been taken to Germany. I couldn't believe that such a story was possible. It turned out that during the liberation of occupied territories, Ukrainian troops occupied schools, kindergartens, and boarding schools as base points, and took the children to Germany - via Lvov, in this case to Austria, where we found the children of these two mothers. And with the help of our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the ombudsmen of Turkey and Austria, we returned these children."
