This is a 3000 years old boot preserved in the frozen ground of the Altai Mountains that actually has magnetic plates incorporated into it's soles.
The purpose of this was to keep in touch with the earth and its magnetic field, aka to stay grounded.
People back in the day knew the true health benefits of being connected to Earth's energy field.

Video gaming culture (and addiction) has diminished our capacity for actual beauty and industry.
Think about it. Imagine spending 6 hours a day 4 days a week unlocking skins, areas, creating these intricate little labyrinths, leveling up your agility points, and crafting a world that is utopian and makes you feel great. To add that up, that's 24 hours out of 168 total hours in one week, and half of the total is 84. That is over a quarter amount.
That's 24 hours you spent sat behind a screen, controlling an invisible, intangible character, in a fake world, achieving accomplishments that do not directly transfer into your physical life, nor exalt you as an individual, and soon it all means nothing once you hop off and engage back into the real world you are trying to escape. Honestly, do you know how much wasted potential that is, how apathetic to civilization it makes you seem? If you could spend the same amount of time volunteering, crafting, writing, reading, or going for a walk, you would notice a drastic positive effect in not only your body and motor skills, but in your sense of happiness. You could even spend that time doing political activism to advance your cause, and it would get somewhere more effectively. You see what's up?
Too many people, especially the men, complain of the real world, yet do not realize they could be making the real world suck a lot less. If that can happen, you would not need a simulation to fill a void.

Svalbard is the only visa-free zone in the world. This means that anyone can live and work there for as long as they want, regardless of citizenship

The ‘King in the Mountain’ belief is one of my favourite folklore tropes and is found across Europe & the world. Highly mysterious, this idea remains very popular in many countries and usually involves a heroic figure resting/sleeping (not dead) in a place of beauty or significance. Often they’re alone, but are believed to lie in wait with their armies in many cases. It’s believed that one day they will awaken and save their people and restore/usher in a golden age.
Some examples include:

🏴 Owain Glyndŵr
🇩🇪 Barbarossa

🇪🇸 King Pelayo

Next spring/summer I plan to visit my homeland with my son. I am wondering if anybody is interested in helping to organize some type of folk gathering at megalithic sites. Combining music, sacred sites, ancestral spirituality and native folk. I have this vision that keeps coming. The stones are going to be important, again.
