My view is that union is a must for there is great strength in union. I will however point out that I’m against uniting in a way that it erases the individuality, and independence of each nation and turns them into one single nation. That’s not the kind of union I’m talking about. I mean let nations remain independent nations, but unite in supporting and helping one another. Don’t erase the differences that separate you, but do unite in the similarities that unite you. The same applies to other European nations. Remember all of the wars that happened between European nations? That’s a wrong path, and it’s always the outsiders who deliberately orchestrate these wars, because it’s beneficial for the enemy to see us all at each other’s throats

Yesterday my former superintendent visited our home to present me with all of this.

A bittersweet moment as I recalled my career, my former colleagues, the momentous events we supported the community through and I am reminded that I did not want to resign. That I wanted to continue honouring my oath to serve and protect the community and to uphold the Police statement of values. Yet the situation I found myself in required me to speak up and question directives, to stand for our human rights and our freedoms, and I knew that in some strange and backwards way in this climate, that it would cost me my career.

I wouldn't say that I never flinched, yet I would do it all over again, for my son, my partner, my family, my brothers and sisters across the country, the world.

Stay in your power and lead by example in love and awareness, because that is where the change we seek rapidly occurs.
