I’ll let you in on a secret. I have a doctorate in education, but the field’s basically just a 100 years old. We don’t really know what we’re doing. Our scholarly understanding of how learning happens is like astronomy 2000 years ago.
Most classroom practice is astrology.
Before the late 19th century, no human society had ever attempted to formally educate the entire populace. It was either aristocracy, meritocracy, or a blend. And always male.
We’re still smack-dab in the middle of the largest experiment on children ever done.
Most teachers perpetuate the “banking” model (Freire) used on them by their teachers, who likewise inherited it from theirs, etc.
Thus the elite “Lyceum” style of instruction continues even though it’s ineffectual with most kids.
What’s worse, the key strategies we’ve discovered, driven by cognitive science & child psychology, are quite regularly dismissed by pencil-pushing, test-driven administrators. Much like Trump ignores science, the majority of principals & superintendents I’ve known flout research.
Some definitions.
Banking model --> kids are like piggy banks: empty till you fill them with knowledge that you're the expert in.
Lyceum --> originally Aristotle's school, where the sons of land-owning citizens learned through lectures and research.
Things we (scholars) DO know:
-Homework doesn't really help, especially younger kids.
-Students don't learn a thing from testing. Most teachers don't either (it's supposed to help them tweak instruction, but that rarely happens).
-Spending too much time on weak subjects HURTS.
Do you want kids to learn? Here's something we've discovered.
Kids learn things that matter to them, either because the knowledge and skills are "cool," or because ...
... they give the kids tools to liberate themselves and their communities.
Maintaining the status quo? Nope.
Kids are acutely aware of injustice and by nature rebellious against the systems of authority that keep autonomy away from them.
If you're perpetuating those systems, teachers, you've already freaking lost.
They won't be learning much from you.
Except what not to become.
Sure, you can wear them down.
That's what happened to most of you, isn't it?
You saw the hideous flaw in the world and wanted to heal it. But year after numbing year, they made you learn their dogma by rote.
And now many of you are breaking the souls of children, too.
For what?
It's all smoke and mirrors. All the carefully crafted objectives, units and exams.
WE.
DON'T.
KNOW.
HOW.
PEOPLE.
LEARN.
We barely understand the physical mechanisms behind MEMORY.
But we DO know kids aren't empty piggy banks.
They are BRIMMING with thought.
The last and most disgusting reality? The thing I hear in classroom after freaking classroom?
Education is all about capitalism.
"You need to learn these skills to get a good job."
To be a good laborer. To help the wealthy generate more wealth, while you get scraps.
THAT is why modern education is a failure.
Its basic premise is monstrous.
"Why should I learn to read, Dr. Bowles?"
Because reading is magical. It makes life worth living. And being able to read, you can decode the strategies of your oppressors & stop them w/ their own words

If you want to connect with your ancestors, naturespirits and deities you need a focussed mind. The Tribe of the Fox talked about several methodes in previous video's. However we have not talked about 'galdr' yet. Galdr is the use of you voice in heathen or pagan spiritual practice. Is it difficult to do galdr? No, not at all! The Tribe of the Fox explains using your voice in heathen spiritual practice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGgqexaAmNo

Galdr, using your voice in your spiritual practice
Using your voice for spiritual practice is an ancient practice. And you can still practice this today!

An animistic world view means that you can consider everything, trees, plants, stones, rivers and lakes as animated and alive. As a result, everything in nature is approached with respect.
This worldview was very obvious for our ancestors. They lived along seas and in vast forests, sharing the land with countless natural beings. For us Europeans, this worldview still exists. It is important to have a good relationship with natural beings, because they have a major influence on fertility and your environment.

2 Giant Investment Firms Control Almost Everything You Buy — Here’s Why You Should Care
BlackRock and Vanguard hold large interests in pivotal companies, and Vanguard holds a large share of BlackRock. BlackRock — the only private firm that has financial agreements to lend money to the central banking system — has been called the "Fourth Branch…
There is a term that should be brought forth, if it hasnt already. That is, "the new facism". This is not aboot "right", or "left". In fact the two have, in recent days, mostly switched sides, definitions, and ideology. The left continues to use the word to bash the right, but in reality,.. the actual definition of facism.."extremely authoritarian, intolerant, or oppressive ideas or behavior"....... has the "pot, calling the kettle, black".. as the saying goes. One may take heed of what they follow,... the outcome, may not be good.
------- There has been a lot of censorship, in recent days, and the manipulation,, of information. The blaring of falsitys, supression, of truth. It is, indeed, the truth, that will set us free.. and those who try to hide it.. hmmmm well its easy to see their agenda ! Dont be fooled ! It is no longer possible to "trust" the powers that be. Not that we ever could, but its more evident these days. Do your homework, listen to all sides. "Debunk".. is not just deny, deny, deny. It is facts, research, people with high credentials, who are above coersion, and threats to their "comfortable nest ".. ja. The story, noo.. after that, is a whole different thing. Not what we wanted to hear, but.. its better to know the truth... or anyway, the best version of it. Then, we can make up our own mind, and, in taking responsiblity for that/those decisions, chart a course for our own lives. In the courts of opinion, we are the judge. Thats the way it should be.

Sometimes they rest here. The goblins of the forest. They do no harm to other souls. Some have seen them, running through the forest with their little crooked legs. They are looking for unsuspecting passers-by to scare them with an icy scream. But that's all. Other than that, they almost don't show up. They don't hurt anyone.....

Sun Tzu:The Art of War
Many of the ideas from "The Art of War" are excellent tips for
"All warfare is based on deception." This is pretty obvious. In Heroes of the Storm, you do not want your opponent to know that you are attempting to take a camp, instead you want them to think you are running away, or trying to take another objective.
Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable; when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far away; when far away, we must make him believe we are near." What this means is that you do not want the enemy to have good map-awareness and you do not want them to know that you are grouping up.
"Hold out baits to entice the enemy. Feign disorder, and crush him." Get your opponent to chase you into a turret or into a waiting group of your teammates.
"If he is secure at all points, be prepared for him. If he is in superior strength, evade him." If the enemy has secured camps and the objective , be ready to fight a hard battle. It's not easy to avoid, but if you can't win a team fight, then you have to either get XP or grab camps.
"Attack him where he is unprepared, appear where you are not expected." This one isn't hard to understand. Times when the enemy is unprepared are when they are taking a hard camp, like Boss, or fighting objective monsters.
"If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. " If the enemy is passively laning and not pushing, attack and force them on the defense. Momentum is VERY important in HOTS. Taking away momentum, or gaining it is great. If the enemy is grouped together, try to pick them off and separate them by baiting, abilities, etc.
"If equally matched, we can offer battle; if slightly inferior in numbers, we can avoid the enemy; if quite unequal in every way, we can flee from him." If you are 5v5 in a teamfight, and have equal or almost equal XP, you can fight. If you have less teammates or do not have enough XP, then don't engage. The quite unequal in every way is if you are trying to defend a spot by yourself with their entire team coming. There is no way you can win this, just flee. It's better to let them take a turret, then letting them take the turret and you. Source:Team Liquid
“He will win who knows when to fight and when not to fight.” You have to know when to engage. If there are 5 enemies with full health rushing at you, and you have a tiny sliver left, it is best to to fight. But, if the enemy has just taken boss and has low health, you and your team might be able to conquer them.
“Rapidity is the essence of war.” Remember, momentum is HUGE in HOTS. If you can get a camp first, you have a great advantage. Any time the enemy is dealing with your mercenaries, they are not soaking XP. Getting first blood gives your team an ego boost and lowers enemy morale, as well as giving you important XP. If you have Level 10, and your enemy doesn't, you can use an ultimate. They cannot.
Finally, this one. Very important.
"The general, unable to control his irritation, will launch his men to the assault like swarming ants, with the result that one-third of his men are slain, while the town still remains untaken. Such are the disastrous effects of a siege." Being toxic loses games.
AND...
“Treat your men (teammates) as you would your own beloved sons. And they will follow you into the deepest valley.” Again, don't be toxic!
