Superstition of 'Touch Wood'
Very old tradition of knocking on wood found not just in indo-European cultures, but in other cultures around the world. It’s believed to be connected to ancient times when people of all cultures perceived the world very differently from us today. It’s traced to the times when humans everywhere viewed nature as alive, conscious, intelligent, and they saw spirits all around them in nature. Every tree was either viewed as an individual living being with a mind, body and soul, or they use to believe that trees are inhabited by gods, faeries, and different type of spirits, including the spirit of ancestors

Englisc god names
Sib / Sibbe (Sif) – affection, love, peace.
As we've seen already, Sib (also spelt Sibbe) is the English name for the goddess whom the Norse call Sif. She is, as we all know, the wife of Thunor. The Dutch spelling is Sibbe, the OHG Sippa or Sippe. In Old English 'Sibb' means 'kinship, relationship, family love' and no doubt reflects the nature of her relationship she has with Thunor. Even when pestered by Loga, she remains totally devoted to her husband. Sib's golden hair symbolises the wheat fields, but there is also a species of moss (Polytrichum aureum) called Haddr Sifjar (“Sif's hair”) in Old Norse. 'Sib' gives us the word sibling – which once meant a relative or kinsman and today refers to a brother or sister.
We find her name in the Old English compound words;
Sibsumnes "peace, concord, brotherly love"
Sibbian "bring together, reconcile"
Sibbecoss "kiss of peace"

The value of what you want is measured only by that which you're willing to stake against it.
If you do not commit fully to that which you desire then your fears will conspire with your obstacles and raise the stakes just beyond the limits of your nerve.
Commit, Create, Become.

And, never ever, let anyone
Dampen your imagination
Why,
If you want to go to the ball
With the faery folk at your side
Well, so you shall

Support your local pagan/ heathen craftsmen. Just received this beautiful , one of a kind, made intuitively for me, knife. I absolutely love it!
Hail Freyja, Vanadis,
I ask for protection,
Under your falcon wings
And war-maiden’s shield.
Help me to make peace among my enemies.
Give me the courage to fight again
For if I am battle-slain in truth
May my actions be worthy of your choosing.
Hail Freyja, Lady of SessrĂşmnir
Help me to set boundaries for myself
So I can honor the boundaries of others,
For as your home, when locked,
Is protected by your will
Let me be also protected
And closed against trespasses,
Yet may my hospitality be true
And help me act in frith.
Help me to pay fairly
And to accept fairly what is my due.
Show me your just ways.
Hail Seidhkona,
Holder of Magic and Keeper of Mysteries.
Teach me to see the magic in all things.
Help me to move between the veil,
Allow me to walk among the worlds.
May I glimpse in your forge of dreams
By Seidhr rune-wise and true as words from your tongue.
Hail Goddess of Beauty,
Amber-laden Creatrix, Mistress of Brisingamen.
Ignite within me the creative spark.
Help me to bring beauty
Into my own deeds and all that I make.
May the fierceness of your eyes
Lend me their keen awareness
That I might see none other
Than your face before my work
Let me be ignited with Need-Fire, your Will.
