【Aster】An Android Root management tool based on KernelPatch. The first release is now available (open source, GPL-3).

· Miuix single-UI design: Five entry points remain permanently visible in the left rail. When Root is unavailable, entries are disabled rather than removed. The home page answers the first question: "Is Root usable right now?"
· Modules: APM (Magisk-like), KPM (kernel modules), module repository, and module WebUI.
· Protected runtime operations: Run pre-flight checks first, then perform a 60-second trial run. Automatically rolls back on failure or timeout. Changes remain effective only for the current boot.
· Theming: Colors can follow the wallpaper, system dynamic colors, or presets. Custom fonts and display sizes are supported.
· 18 languages: Including six playful Chinese language packs: Meow, Holy Light, Kitchen, Minecraft, Magic, and Cultivation.
· App icon switching: Switch between Aster and APatch desktop icons, with an option to follow the app's color scheme.

Requirements: arm64, kernel 3.18–6.18, and CONFIG_KALLSYMS enabled.

New in this version
Pick several apps at once. The Superuser page can now work on more than one app at a time. Tap the button in the top bar, or long-press any app, then tick the ones you want. One tap grants root, restores them to normal, or excludes all of them together — and you are asked to confirm before anything changes.
The status bar over the panorama Home is readable again. Its icons now follow the wallpaper instead of the scene, so they stay visible on a bright photo and no longer change colour on their own.

I'm trying to design a web-based offline patching tool using WebAssembly. It will cover offline patching for KernelSU, APatch, Magisk, and their forks, and will be open-sourced later.

*ImageForge* — patch Android boot images entirely in your browser

No server, no upload, no account, and it never touches a device: a run ends at a file you download.

*Managers it can patch for (11)*
• KernelPatch family: APatch, Aster, FolkPatch
• KernelSU family: KernelSU, SukiSU, ReSukiSU, YukiSU, KowSU
• Magisk family: Magisk, WeaveMask, MagisKube

Each one is registered as a flavour, because a fork's payloads are compiled against its own signing certificate and cannot be mixed. The result page tells you which manager app the image needs and links to its release page.

*Seven tools, not just the patcher*
• Patch a boot/init_boot image
• Extract partitions out of an OTA package (an 8 GB payload read in ranges)
• Unpack super/sparse/erofs/ext4, and pack sparse and super images back
• Boot logo (OPPO/Realme/OnePlus splash, MediaTek logo)
• Boot animation: play it, replace frames, edit desc.txt, repack
• Compare two images byte by byte, naming the boot section each difference is in
• Inspect: what a file is, what it holds, what already patched it

*Why the output can be trusted*
• The ramdisk Magisk and KernelSU patches produce is *byte for byte* what their official apps write, verified against real material
• The three KernelPatch core images match their own branches' native kptools output, byte for byte
• Sparse and super images are compared with AOSP's img2simg/lpmake/lpdump/lpunpack; erofs and ext4 against sha256sum taken on a device
• LZ4 and bzip2 are the reference implementations compiled to WebAssembly; a stock ramdisk re-encodes to the exact bytes the device shipped
• Every bundled binary is digest verified before use — and checked to be what it claims to be. Where a byte-level contract exists but real material to verify it does not, the licence record *says so* instead of implying more

*Honest limits*: no erofs/ext4 writer, no remote artifact downloads, repacking drops the AVB signature, and the 512 MB cap applies to patching. Nothing is uploaded; nothing is ever flashed.
