Ansible Role: Flutter-Web
For those of you interested in DevOps and Infrastructure Automation, I hereby present to you tonight's work: an Ansible role that installs flutter-web on a Linux system. You can find it on GitHub or Ansible Galaxy. To install it, run ansible-galaxy install mikeanth_dev.flutter_webIn the git repo, there is a dead-simple example playbook that shows how to use this role. It's not much, but it's honest work.

Anyone looking for a Flutter study group?
Hello Flutterers,About a month ago we made group for solo flutter developers to organize small weekly meetups - FlutterBuddies (link is to discord invite). The idea is to be have a place to find and participate in small discussions with other developers about what you are currently working on in Flutter. At the meetings anyone who wants can screen-share their project / code / workflow and talk about it for a few minutes, then answer questions or get feedback from the rest of the group. It is an opportunity to meet other developers, practice presenting your work, get feedback or ideas, get help or help others where you can, or just hang out and see what people are up to. We have about a dozen different meeting times throughout the week so you can pick one that works for your time zone or schedule, or start a new time if you want to lead a group. So far it has been very interesting to meet people and hear about all of the different kinds of things they are doing with Flutter. In addition to the meetings, some highlights have been - several active group projects, coding-streaming, pair programming, and a hackathon (1st challenge is variation of the counter app). So if any of that sounds interesting or if you have any other ideas come check it out!How to join a group: http://flutterbuddies.com/ directs you to discord, then go to the #welcome channel and claim Flutterer role, which will unlock more channels. If you want to join a weekly meetup group, one of the channels is #join-group, where you can see the different meeting times for different time zones and pick one (or multiple) you want to join. When you click a group number you will automatically join that group and can attend the meetings. There is room in all of the groups for more people, but if you want to start a new group / time let me know! The current group meeting times are (in three time zones):UTC -5 / East Coast US:19:00 Sunday - 16:00 Tuesday - 20:00 Tuesday - 09:00 Thursday - 11:00 Friday - 14:00 Friday - 03:00 Saturday - 12:00 Saturday - 00:00 Sunday - 11:30 Wednesday (French) - 11:00 Thursday (Spanish) - 08:00 Saturday (Hindi)UTC +1 / Central Europe01:00 Monday - 22:00 Tuesday - 02:00 Wednesday - 15:00 Thursday - 17:00 Friday - 20:00 Friday - 09:00 Saturday - 18:00 Saturday - 06:00 Sunday - 17:30 Wednesday (French) - 17:00 Thursday (Spanish) - 14:00 Saturday (Hindi)UTC + 5:30 / India:05:30 Monday - 02:30 Wednesday - 06:30 Wednesday - 19:30 Thursday - 21:30 Friday - 00:30 Saturday - 13:30 Saturday - 22:30 Saturday - 10:30 Sunday - 22:00 Wednesday (French) - 21:30 Thursday (Spanish) - 18:30 Saturday (Hindi)

What's the best book on Flutter right now?
Not a huge fan of using online video courses to learn, so I'm curious if there are any good Flutter books right now, especially that's the most up to date as far as the API goes.

testing the flutter environment in new m1 macs.
got a new m1 MacBook Air today and just got finished setting up my flutter environment and wanted to answer some questions that many (including myself) have had.environment setup - basically the same process as with x86 Mac or windows.vscode - I am using the insider (exploration) build, this version is running natively on apple silicon. No issues installing the dart/flutter extensions.iOS - was able to build and launch the flutter demo app in an iPhone simulator with no issues.Android - currently android VM appears not to be working, android studio is fine, just not able to launch a pixel simulator. This is what I expected, hopefully we can get a fix soon. I don't currently own an android device so I can't test with that, but I would assume that is not an issue, and can be used in the meanwhile.speed - debug iOS build time was 5.1s (damn).I would also say downloading and installing Xcode, android studio, and a bunch of other apps I use all concurrently would have made my old MacBook go to 10000F, the m1 air is just a little warm and in about 2 hours my battery has drained only 15%. Very impressed with this thing so far.

How do you deal with multiple screen size while building flutter app?
Multiple screen size meaning different resolution or different dpi setting. How can I make sure that when I develop an app in certain screen size, it will be same in another device of different screen size?
