Banding a group together to knock out cool Flutter projects. I wanted to post here if anyone missed the previous post and was interested.
Hey everyone, I wanted to make a group that had people who knew Flutter and wanted to work on projects together. After an initial post, I got a bunch of responses and decided to make a discord.I feel that this group would be best fit for people who are intermediate or more experienced but there are different skill levels already so don't feel like you have to be an expert to join.If you're interested, just comment or dm me and I will shoot you the discord invite.

Showcase first Flutter app
Hello,Recently I decided to try out Flutter for the first time and went with a viewer for xkcd. Using their json api it pulls the comics and displays them on a single page. This is my first flutter app and I wanted to try it out. Following the docs I managed to finish this in about 8-10 hours in the span of a month maybe? Idk, but it was really fun and actually easy to make so feel free to check it out on github. As a disclaimer, I know it doesn't follow the best practices and haven't looked into navigation, it's all displayed on the same page using a FutureBuilder but you can save bookmarks and navigate just like the site including the alt message when you hover on the image.I want to keep working on it, mainly refactoring code and following the best practices and some new features like download and full offline. I'll look into making the InteractiveViewer take the available space instead of just the image size next.

Flutter can't create native-looking apps on web & desktop - or can it?
Hi, To me, the promise of Flutter is to get multiple native applications from one codebase. "Native" to me means that the app looks and feels like a "good, native platform app". That works on iOS and Android with some tweaking. But it seems to fail on web & desktop. From what I can see,

Augmented Reality with Flutter?
I've done a little bit of Flutter development, and a fair amount of React Native and Nativescript but I've done nothing with augmented reality yet. Flutter _appears_ to have the best AR support as of now but would love some feedback before I jump in.For the app I'd like to be able to scan an image like a flower with the camera/lidar and then render it in the app but I'm not sure that's possible. It looks like ARCore can make it happen with flat images which I could probably make work. It wouldn't need to be in real time for my application. I could upload images to be processed on a server then used in the app at a later time if there is a better way to implement that.

Use Flutter for front end website / landing page?
I’m building my first app with flutter, and am wondering what the best way to setup a front end website or landing page for it might be. The primary purpose would be to showcase the apps features and links to app stores to download (I’d eventually like to build the web app version, but don’t plan to near term).Potential options: 1. Use Flutter Web 2. Firebase static site with raw HTML/CSS (I use Firebase as backend for my app) 3. Something like squarespaceYour perspective on the above options or something else would be much appreciated. Thank you!More background - I’m a flutter noob and pretty solid with html.
