Guys in Nigeria 🇳🇬 stay safe out there!
I was almost arrested!
Yesterday afternoon I was pulled over by the Police 👮♂️ . I was in an uber heading to the Island (my first outing since I returned). He requested for my phone, and asked me to introduce myself, which I did!
He kept scrolling through the phone, in search of my Gallery. And I was like, that was invading my privacy, he asked me to show him the gallery angrily, pointing the phone to me.
And he was with a rifle. And these guys could be drunk 🥴 sometimes, I had to quickly point the gallery icon to him. And then he kept searching.
The next thing was, ‘let’s go to the station, you’re under arrest!’
He wanted to arrest me for having charts 📉📈 screenshot on my phone. He said ‘I’m trading Bitcoin, and that was against governments policies ’ . I was shocked for some minutes. And it was clearly a GBPUSD chart!
At this stage, I needed to be calm, because he was obviously not literate, with a rifle and paranoid!
I had to explain what FOREX is, that Forex is different from CRYPTO. Even the Central banks 🏦 trades FOREX, I explain thinking it was a YouTube video! After several minutes of giving him free lecture of what Forex was and how it works. All he said was, ‘ Oga you must have been printing some dollar abi, let’s go to the station jare! (In Yoruba accent).
My uber had to take us to the police station taking a one-way traffic, of course, he instructed us to do so!
We almost collided with another vehicle, but thank God we didn’t.
He took me to the station ( this is my second time of ever being in a police station, the first time was with a family member to get a police report.)
When we got to the police station, his superior officer asked me what happened, I narrated everything to him. He was a little bit more learned than the other one. So he said ‘Oh! you’re a YouTuber and a Forex trader, I said ‘Yes!’
Then he called the first officer who pulled me over and started explaining to him, the difference between crypto and Forex.
Trust Nigerian police, there was no single apology or whatsoever!
As a typical Nigerian guy can already guess, they were asking me for money. Trust me! I didn’t give them any dim, because they wasted my precious time for no reason.
There were a lot of guys in their custody begging with N50k! To be release for having anything relating to Bitcoin on their phone ☹️
So guys in 🇳🇬 be careful with the screenshot of charts on your phone. I don’t know how we got into this deep mess!
On my way back, while I was in traffic, some boys in around Obalende (I’ve forgotten the name of the bridge) some guys were stealing from moving vehicles in traffic! Ah! I quickly hide my phones and wallet. Going out is a tug of war. I can’t even explain this well enough!
Let me count some things going on here:
*Killings in IMO state and others😠
*Twitter ban!
*Spending limit of $100 😹
*Soon travel ban is coming (we’ve been restricted to some countries already) example, we can’t fly to Dubai from Nigeria directly.
*No passports booklets 😆

Here is my unsolicited advise:
If you can run 🏃🏽♂️ 🏃 run far away!!!! Because me I don’t understand anymore! 🎤 drops

My Opinion about GBPUSD
It's in a ranging (consolidating) mode.
How we trade such market is, we wait for price to get to high of the week to short and we wait for price to get to low of the week to long. That's exactly what I did yesterday.
First we need to study to know when market pattern is changing, so we can make how to approach it.
The normal thing I do is, if I'm not sure of the direction, I stay out till I'm sure.
I'll be looking to short GBPUSD today. Price action would confirm that more.
