One month at INSA Summer Camp β and I came out different.
Went in expecting to learn some code and make a few friends. Got 5am workouts , back-to-back classes, exams, project work, plus psychology and chess on the side . Way more intense than I expected β in the best way.
What I'm taking with me:
π§ Psychology classes taught me to actually look inward β where I am, where I want to be, and what it takes to close that gap. Not just dreaming the destination, but respecting the grind.
βοΈ Chess classes taught me how to lose gracefully. Trust me ,losing 10 games before breakfast humbles you real quick π
Lessons:
β’ There's always someone better than you β stay humble
β’ Ask for help AND share what you know β biggest takeaway from camp
β’ Good teammates make everything easier. Mine were the best π
Met incredible people, pushed past limits I didn't know I had, and had one of the best months of my life.
Huge thanks to our mentors, my team, joe for putting me onto this, my mentor Nahom , and everyone who made this happen.
