That was a really insightful interview.

Especially the last piece of advice is really important:

Rather than locking in and studying corporate finance book, go out and talk to people...
Yes, you need to excel at university, but never neglect power of networking

Also, I was thinking of adding more activities to become more of a finance club...

Do you guys have any suggestions on activities that may be useful to do???

I will be honest.

These people are rare. I send many-many messages to people who work in big corporations like Citi, JP Morgan Chase and more on LinkedIn.

And guess what? Most of the times they either don't read my message at all or even after reading they don't reply... However, I respect their decision.

Maybe that is because we are not big enough yet, but we are growing fast))

Also, I learnt not to be afraid of rejection. I just keep trying. That is it.

I applied to 300 jobs and 10 of them replied, and 7 of them were rejections...

When he said that, I was shocked. You should never give up. Keep on grinding until you make it happen.

Also, he really emphasized the importance of education. Education pays the best interest.

I remember having a dilemma between whether taking ACCA papers or CFA level I considering my time and budget limits.

Then, I sent a cold message to Mr. Mirkamol Tulyaganov. He did something I had not expected...
