This has always been my worry. Ukrainians out, IPAS in.

It is understood there are approximately 3,000 vacant beds across the accommodation system for Ukrainians but around 40 per cent of these are needed due to short-term moves of BOTPs due to compliance issues or contracts ending.
It is hoped that providers will agree to pivot approximately 500 beds for use by international protection applicants, which is separate from the temporary scheme for Ukrainians.
One asymmetrical solution to the NGO issue is for every individual, family, and group of friends in the country to start establishing a myriad of citizen-driven Non-Profits to overwhelm the system. If 33,000 NGOs are considered a challenge for us, imagine the impact of 330,000 citizen-driven NGOs becoming a challenge for them.

Establishing a non-profit enables significant participation in public networks and secures a voice at the community table. This access allows you to engage in conversations they don't want you to hear, with your opponents unmasked and facing you directly.

Millions are spent each year by development companies and NGOs coaching specific target groups on how to navigate this arena, yet these services are often not provided to the average citizen, despite there being no legal barrier. In summary, there’s absolutely nothing stopping us from creating an out-of-control counter NGO culture.

Local development companies running SICAP programs are where the rubber hits the road in your county regarding migrants. You can investigate who sits on the board and their budget by searching the charities register. This is where the Department for Children washes its hands and the Department for Rural Affairs takes over. Joe O'Brien's department is as destructive as Roderic O'Gormans.

Pobal. A "Charity" with an income of almost 1 billion a year. This is where the money for Local Development Companies comes from.

Whenever you hear the government or county councils say "we consulted with the community," they aren't referring to you or local councillors—they're talking about the Public Participation Networks (PPNs). This is the sleight of hand that emerged after new legislation in 2014, explaining why the actual community is often in the dark about what's happening. Become familiar with the individuals managing them in your county. To engage actively in your community, you need to establish a group and register with the PPN to truly understand what's going on.
