This RTE scandal stuff smells really odd. I have already seen Fujo's director wheeled out to comment on the issue across the media. What will replace RTE and how long have they been planning it? 100% DCU will be directing the government. Keep an eye on these 'independent' observers.

Within 24 months everyone will have the power of something "chatGPT like" on their phone without the internet. Ireland and Irish people will require a "National AI model" , built with data specific to the needs of country. Will our legends and myths be contained within this? All our amazing literature and history? What abour the entire company and financial data in the history of the state from the CRO? These are the types of questions "nationalists" aren't asking, nobody is. The elephant in room is invisible.... who will get to shape and curate this information / national ai model? Who will be the gatekeepers? Do citizens need to take it up on themselves and cooperate .. for example building models that ensure our identity is captured and can regenerate Irish culture in the future? Will John Walter's model write all our victory speeches? Will we have a brand new Planxty album every day? Will we have something that values Irish identity and automatically formulates policies and laws to protect us? Culture and law aside.. why cant just know what's actually happening in realtime on this Island? instead of having to wait 6 months to know how many people were burgled in your county or 4 years to know how many people "live" here? How can you formulate policies with such lagging times? You cant... you can actually get the data right here and now, in realtime. "Give me list of the top 50 NGOs in this country and cross reference their directorships and audit them all please." ... Why is there a prohibitive financial cost to asking something like this...that's just a simple database query and some calculations? Can we break down these type of walls as a country? Who should have access to this data to make decisions? Politicians and Beurocrats ,the National Ai Model or Everyone? These are the biggest questions facing us, data access... not how to interpret the constitution etc. I'm branding myself a "Data Nationalist" from now on in. And I encourage everyone to start thinking along these lines.

The crime stats for Q1 2023 were released last week. Ill crunch the numbers over the coming days. Comparing Q1 2022 VS Q1 2023 will be interesting as in Q 2022 we were (a) out of lockdown (b) pre plantation. A good indicator of the direction we are heading.

Helen McEntees TD father committed suicide just before Christmas 2012. In the inquest into his death it was claimed by numerous people that "online social media abuse" was a contributing factor to his suicide. McEntee had been castigated by people for poor off hand comments in regards to respite care cuts which he voted for. I read some of the public comments after his death on facebook and I have to admit some of them were absolutely brutal. Helen McEntee, took up his seat after his death and has never commented about this issue or blamed social media directly. It does beg the question .. did his death and the vitriolic comments around it help lead us to a situation where she is about to implement the most authoritarian hate speech laws in the west?
