When you see a headline like the one from Gript regarding changing policy or legislation:
(1) Search for a relevant keyword, such as "voting," on lobbying.ie for detailed returns.
(2) Sort the results to get the latest submissions.
(3) Take note of the NGO or nonprofit that advocates for the legislative change.
(4) Note the name of the person who directly carried out the lobbying.
(5) Go to the charities register and search for the NGO.
(6) Go to the documents section and download their latest financial documents.
(7) Screenshot how they are funded.
(8) Do some background checks on LinkedIn on the person who carried out the lobbying.
(9) Collate all the information and distribute it.

TLDR. The "reduce the voting age" lobbying is being done by an NGO that is 98% funded by the government and is led by a person who was personal secretary to multiple government ministers in the past

Thomas Sheridan made an extremely salient point on integration a few months back during one of his live streams. In the age of smartphones, integration is now nearly impossible because immigrants can get all the information they need to survive through their networks and in their own language.

Thirty years ago, all immigrants were forced to interact with the broader society because technology didn't give them the information they needed at their fingertips. They had to learn the language and interact with locals to get by.
