Make no mistake. We no longer wait for the era of mass surveillance and total government oversight. We do not plan in anticipation of a future dystopian corporate governance and sprawling artificial intelligence incorporated into every aspect of our life.
That is here now.
The low-life has been reserved for the lower classes, and the high-tech for the rich. The majority have already accepted total technological dominance by the upper classes. The cypherpunk stand as the last bulwark against an all-seeing establishment invading everyday technology use like parasites. Cryptography is not a preemptive measure but now an active self-defense against the digital war machine.
We are still writing code. We are still engaging in making safer networks. We are still building anonymous systems. The dream is not dead; it has only changed context.
Onward.
