🏦 The world’s top central bankers stressed the need to keep interest rates high until inflation is contained.

🤑 BlackRock is the second-biggest holder of the four biggest crypto mining companies. While the rest of the market is sleeping, BlackRock is betting on the crypto industry.

What is FBS Trading Marathon?
It's a competition for traders. There will be 4 trading days. We start on Thursday, August 31, and will trade through to Tuesday, September 5. Every day we’ll provide you with live streams, videos, market analysis, and tips. Your goal is to trade and make a profit. Simple, hah? Trade volume is unimportant: whoever gets the biggest profit in points wins!

How to participate?

2. Deposit any sum to your account after the registration.
2. Start trading! The system will count your results. Each day we'll send the list of the top traders to this channel. Those who earn the most points of profit by the end of the Marathon will be the winners!

Prizes
To determine the winner, we’ll summarize the results in points for every participant. The participant with the biggest number of points of profit will be the winner.

🇺🇸Treasuries attract buyers - high yields offset Powell's warning. Various banks, including JPMorgan Chase & Co., remain bullish on the bond market despite Powell's warning at Jackson Hole on Friday of possible new increases. They believe that even further Fed rate hikes will not lead to significant bond losses to outweigh the highest yield since 2007.

🇺🇸Bank of America: Powell's speech at Jackson Hole was balanced, with hawk and dove elements. We still expect another 0.25% rate hike in November. We expect a 0.75% rate cut in 2024 starting in June.

🇨🇳Analysts believe that the Central Bank of China may again reduce the RRR reserve requirement to increase liquidity in the system. JPMorgan Bank expects the central bank to cut the RRR rate by 0.25% this quarter. It means that USDCNH may start rising again.

🇯🇵Yen to drop to 1990 year levels if BoJ stays soft – Goldman. Bank strategists led by Kamakshya Trivedi predict that the yen will hit 155 over the next six months, the lowest level since June 1990. They previously expected the yen to trade up to 135. «While the Bank of Japan is still far from raising rates, the yen should continue to decline,» the strategists wrote in a note.

🇩🇪German Gfk Consumer Climate Index fell to -25.5 points. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said Germany will not allocate additional funds to fight economic problems and increase the size of its debts.

🇪🇺🇺🇸EURUSD is testing its 200MA. Bulls and bears are fighting for the crucial levels. The price may rise slightly, considering that stochastic lines almost intersected in the oversold zone in the Weekly timeframe. The pair may try to return to 1.0900, but at first, bulls should break the resistance at 1.0830.

🇪🇺According to ECB meeting minutes: ECB members agree with an assessment that points to a possible unexpected slowdown in economic activity in the Eurozone; more rate hikes will be needed if inflation does not ease; a rate hike in September would be necessary unless there is convincing evidence that the effect of the aggregate tightening of the monetary policy was strong enough to reduce inflation in line with the plan to bring inflation to the target of 2%

🇪🇺🇺🇸Meanwhile, Bank of America Corp. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. expect EURUSD to fall to $1.05, a level last seen during the banking crisis in March. 🛢According to Bloomberg, Saudi Arabia is expected to extend oil production cuts until October. Meanwhile, Forbes announced that Russia will cut oil exports by 300,000 bpd to June in September. OPEC+ countries are fighting for the high oil price. Yesterday, XBRUSD increased by 1.75%. The price has almost reached its local highest high level at $87.70.

🇨🇦Canadian GDP is published today at 3-30 PM GMT+3. Experts think that in the second quarter, the economy grew by 0.3% vs. 0.8% a quarter earlier. The Canadian trade balance deficit started increasing; the unemployment rate jumped to 5.4% from 5.0% - fewer people had money to spend, leading to the Ivey PMI moving lower than the crucial 50 points. The economy is slowing down. That’s why the forecast makes sense.

🇺🇸Initial jobless claims in the US were released better than expected – 228K vs. 235K in the forecast. The 4-week average indicator grew and reached 237.50 K. Continuing jobless claims are rising. According to Challenger, Gray&Christmas the number of job cuts jumped. We think the US labor market has started slowing and expect the unemployment rate to be higher than 3.5%. The US dollar may fall📉
