3.1 beta 29 for Android released.

Text-to-speech interface updated, logic fixed. Added dialogue borders on e-ink devices.

FBReader 3.1 beta 30 brings two fixes:

1) Reading aloud is stable again. We finished the major UI change. Following updates will bring new features, including manual text substitutions and text-to-speech for PDFs.

2) There was an issue with downloading files with names longer than 255 bytes. Fixed.

The beta is already downloadable from our site, the Google Play release is on its way. An update for the stable version, named 3.0.31, will be released tomorrow. The only change is the long file name fix.
3.1 beta 31 is out

* New option values: you can prevent the screen from sleeping for two or five minutes.
* E-ink themes now available for all devices. Use “The screen is e-ink” option in the “Appearance” section to force.
* Fixed opening files from external file managers.
* Minor fixes.

We release an update of the stable version, that adds the external manager fix, later this week.

3.1 beta 33 for Android

* Improvements in mobi and ePub engines
Android version 3.0.35/3.1 beta 35 shipped with a new catalogue of free books (in Russian). Books by Richard Dawkins, Stephen Hawking, and other popular science writers in project Всенаука.

Obsolete versions users can add the catalogue manually, use https://vsenauka.ru/opds.
Minor release 1.0.24 for iOS is on the AppStore. The update is fully compatible with the iOS 15 and iPhone 13 series. Major version 1.1, with network catalogues and new rendering features, is coming by Christmas.

Built on Qt6. To be released on https://snapcraft.io/store by the end of November.
Finally, it's officially on the Snap Store. Still in beta quality. That means there are several known significant issues. E.g., bookmarks are still not functional. We are working to fix that and release a stable version in the next few weeks.

And yes, we will publish builds for Windows and Mac very shortly, as well as the AppImage for Linux.
2.0β6 for Linux: fixed awkward snap bug, implemented dark theme, added line-by-line scrolling, and more
2.0β7 published for Windows and Linux. Mac package is coming next week.

Mouse click pages turning, text navigation by clicking the footer, deleting books from the library and the cloud, and more new features.
