FBReader 1.0.3 for iOS is coming this week. You can turn pages using volume keys (the option is switched off by default) and set up arbitrary tap zones for page turning.
FBReader 2.8.9 available for 10% of the Google Play users. Full roll-out planned for the Thursday.

The most significant change is an updated parser, that is tolerant to some XML errors. It makes a number of "broken" fb2 & ePub books readable by the app. Another addition is opening files from Chrome downloads and from some file managers.

Similar update of the iOS version coming very soon.
FBReader 2.8.11 rolled out for 10% of Google Play users. Even more tolerant XML parser, fixed LitRes store registration issues, and a number of minor fixes.
Full release as well as the Premium update planned for this week.
We expect to update iOS version and release first public version for MacOS next week.
FBReader for MacOS: first public version to be available this Wednesday. Native interface, network sync, and secret ;) features.
FBReader 1.0.6 for iPhone/iPad is on the App Store. "Tolerant" XML parser allows to read broken ePub/fb2 files. The app does not loss synced position on the first sync of a new device. Few iPhone X specific UI tweaks.
FBReader 2.8.12 for Android rolled out to 10% of Google Play users. This minor update fixes issue with background synchronisation on Android 8. Full roll-out, as well as the Premium release, planned for Monday (13 August).
New beta release for Mac: https://fbreader.org/macos This update fixes few UI issues and adds support for Adobe font obfuscation (a kind of DRM protection for fonts).
FBReader 2.8.13 for Android is on its way to all Google Play users. The update fixes continuous "FBReader runs in background"/"FBReader is using battery" notifications on Android 8 devices.
Oops, second update today: 2.8.13.1 fixes critical error introduced in 2.8.13. Premium is already in the Store; the free version comes in minutes.
First beta of FBReader 2.9 for Android. 2.9 requires Android 4.1 (was 4.0). This version will not be installable on old devices with ARM5 and MIPS processors.

This beta fixes notification issues on new devices.
