Martyrdom Anniversary of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (p), 1446 A.H.

Thursday, December 5, 2024, is the 3rd of Jumada al-Akhira, 1446, which marks the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (p) according to the third narration.

Sayyida Fatimah bint Muhammad (peace be upon them)

◾️Kunya: Umm Abiha; Umm al-A’immah (Mother of her father; Mother of the Imams)

◾️Father: Muhammad ibn Abdullah (Peace be upon him and his holy progeny)

◾️Mother: Khadijah bint Khuwaylid

◾️Born: 20 Jumada al-Thani, 5BH or 8BH

◾️Died: 13 Jumada al-Awwal, 11AH or 3 Jumada al-Thani, 11AH

◾️Age of Death: 18 (Martyred after being inflicted with injuries)

◾️Buried: Unknown location in Madinah al-Munawarah

The Necklace of Selfless Love

It was a quiet afternoon in the humble home of Lady Fatimah (p) and her family. On this particular day, a poor man, ragged and weary from his struggles, came to the door. His eyes were filled with desperation, and he spoke with a voice that trembled, asking for help. He had heard that the family of the Prophet was kind-hearted and generous, and he had nowhere else to turn.

Lady Fatimah (p), with her heart filled with compassion, invited the man inside. She listened to his plight, understanding that he was in dire need. Lady Fatimah never hesitated to help others. She searched through her home, but there was little to offer. Her family, like many in Medina, lived a simple life and had barely enough to sustain themselves.

But then, she remembered the beautiful necklace that had been given to her by her father, the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hp). It was a precious gift, a token of love from the one she held most dear. She had always cherished it, for it was the last gift she had received from her father before he passed away. Yet, at that moment, seeing the man’s need, she knew she had to part with it.

With a gentle smile, she took off the necklace and placed it in the man’s hands. “Take this,” she said. “It is the only thing of value I have. May it bring you comfort and ease, and may Allah reward you for your patience and faith.” The man, overwhelmed by her kindness, took the necklace, his heart filled with gratitude. He left her home, praying for Lady Fatimah’s well-being.

As the day passed, Imam Ali (p), returned home and noticed that the necklace was gone. He asked, “Where is your necklace, my dear wife?” Lady Fatimah smiled softly and explained the situation. She told him how she had given it to the poor man who had come seeking help. Imam Ali, ever supportive and understanding, nodded in silence. He knew the purity of her heart and her unwavering devotion to Allah.

That evening, as the night descended, something miraculous happened. Angel Jibraeel appeared before Lady Fatimah. He brought a message from God, saying, “O daughter of the Prophet, because of your generosity and selflessness, Allah has sent you a gift more precious than the necklace you gave away. He has replaced it with a necklace made of pearls, more beautiful and valuable than the one you lost.”

God rewarded Lady Fatimah’s pure heart and her act of charity by sending her a new necklace, one that was even more beautiful than the one she had given away. This was a testament to her trust in God and her willingness to sacrifice for the sake of others.

عن أمير المؤمنين عليه وعلى أولاده السّلام، قال: إنّ رسول الله خطبنا ذات يوم فقال: أيها النّاس إنّه قد أقبل إليكم شهر الله بالبركة والرحمة والمغفرة شهر هو عند الله أفضل الشهور وأيامه أفضل الأيام ولياليه أفضل الليالي وساعاته أفضل الساعات، هو شهر دُعيتم فيه إلى ضيافة الله
وجُعلتم فيه من أهل كرامة الله.

مبارك عليكم حلول شهر رمضان، جعلنا الله وإياكم مقبولين في ضيافة رب العالمين، ولاتنسونا وتنسوا إخوانكم المؤمنين والمؤمنات من خالص الدعاء، وبالخصوص أهلنا في فلسطين ولبنان والعراق واليمن والجمهورية وفي سائر بلاد المسلمين 🕋🕌

دعاء اليوم الأول

اللَّهُمَّ اجعَل صيامي فيهِ صيامَ الصَّائِمينَ، وَقيامي فيهِ قيامَ القائِمينَ، وَنَبِّهني فيهِ عَن نَومَةِ الغافِلينَ، وَهَب لي جُرمي فيهِ يا إلهَ العالَمينَ، وَاعفُ عَنّي يا عافياً عَنِ المُجرِمينَ.

Day 1 Duaa

O Allah, on this day make my fasts the fasts of those who fast (sincerely), and my standing up in prayer of those who stand up in prayer (obediently), awaken me in it from the sleep of the heedless, and forgive me my sins , O God of the worlds, and forgive me, O one who forgives the sinners.

اليوم الثاني

اللَّهُمَّ قَرِّبني فيهِ إلى مَرضاتِكَ، وَجَنِّبني فيهِ مِن سَخَطِكَ وَنَقِماتِكَ، وَوَفِّقني فيهِ لِقِراءَة آياتِكَ، بِرَحمَتِكَ يا أرحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ.


(2) O Allah, on this day, take me closer towards Your pleasure, keep me away from Your anger and punishment, grant me the opportunity to recite Your verses (of the Qur'an), by Your mercy, O the most Merciful.

اليوم الثالث

اللَّهُمَّ ارزُقني فيهِ الذِّهنَ وَالتَّنبيهَ، وَباعِدني فيهِ مِنَ السَّفاهَةِ وَالتَّمويهِ، وَاجعَل لي نَصيباً مِن كُلِّ خَيرٍ تُنزِلُ فيهِ، بِجودِكَ يا أجوَدَ الأجوَدينَ.

(3) O Allah, on this day, grant me wisdom and awareness, keep me away from foolishness and pretention, grant me a share in every blessing You send down, by You generosity, O the most Generous.

اليوم الرابع

اللَّهُمَّ قَوِّني فيهِ عَلى إقامَةِ أمرِكَ، وَأذِقني فيهِ حَلاوَةَ ذِكرِكَ، وَأوزِعني فيهِ لأَداءِ شُكرِكَ بِكَرَمِكَ، وَاحفَظني فيهِ بِحِفظِكَ وَسَترِكَ، يا أبصَرَ النَّاظِرينَ.

(4) O Allah, on this day, strengthen me in carrying out Your commands, let me taste the sweetness of Your rememberance, grant me, through Your graciousness, that I give thanks to You. Protect me, with Your protection and cover, O the most discerning of those who see.

اليوم الخامس

اللَّهُمَّ اجعَلني فيهِ مِن المُستَغفِرينَ، واجعَلني فيهِ مِن عِبادِكَ الصَّالِحينَ القانِتينَ، واجعَلني فيهِ مِن أوليائِكَ المُقَرَّبينَ، بَرَأفَتِكَ يا أرحَمَ الرَّاحِمينَ.

(5) O Allah, on this day, place me among those who seek forgiveness. Place me among Your righteous and obedient servants, and place me among Your close friends, by Your kindness, O the most Merciful.

اليوم السادس

اللَّهُمَّ لا تَخذُلني فيهِ لِتَعَرُّضِ مَعصيَتِكَ، وَلا تَضرِبني بِسياطِ نَقِمَتِكَ، وَزَحزِحنيِ فيهِ مِن موجِباتِ سَخَطِكَ، بِمَنِّكَ وَأياديكَ يا مُنتَهى رَغبَةِ الرَّاغِبينَ.

(6) O Allah, on this day, do not let me abase myself by incurring Your disobedience, and do not strike me with the whip of Your punishment, keep me away from the causes of Your anger, by Your kindness and Your power, O the ultimate wish of those who desire.

اليوم السابع

اللَّهُمَّ أعِنّي فيهِ عَلى صيامِهِ وَقيامِهِ، وَجَنِّبني فيهِ مِن هَفَواتِهِ وَآثامِهِ، وَارزُقني فيهِ ذِكرَكَ بِدَوامِهِ، بِتَوفيقِكَ يا هاديَ المُضِلّينَ.

(7) O Allah, on this day, help me with its fasts and prayers, and keep me away from mistakes and sins of the day, grant me that I remember You continously through the day, by Your assistance, O the Guide of those who stray.

اليوم الثامن

اللَّهُمَّ ارزُقني فيهِ رَحمَةَ الأَيتامِ، وَإطعامَ الطَّعامِ، وَإفشاءَ السَّلامُ، وَصُحبَةَ الكِرامِ، بِطَولِكَ يا مَلجَأ الآمِلينَ.

(8) O Allah, on this day, let me have mercy on the orphans, and feed [the hungry], and spread peace, and keep company with the noble­minded, O the shelter of the hopeful.

اليوم التاسع

اللَّهُمَّ اجعَل لي فيهِ نَصيباً مِن رَحمَتِكَ الواسِعَةِ، وَاهدِني فيهِ لِبَراهينِكَ السَّاطِعَةِ، وَخُذ بِناصيَتي إلى مَرضاتِكَ الجامِعَةِ، بِمَحَبَّتِكَ يا أمَلَ المُشتاقينَ.

(9) O Allah, on this day, grant me a share from Your mercy which is wide, guide me towards Your shining proofs, lead me to Your all encompassing pleasure, by Your love, O the hope of the desirous.
