Steve Smith is without a century in his last 14 Test innings, which is his longest drought since the start of his Test career (22 innings without a Test century).

I feel he will look to be more proactive against India, especially Ashwin. Backing him to bounce back.
HOBART HURRICANES

Hobart Hurricanes were unable to make it three wins in succession as well as back-to-back victories over Melbourne Stars as they came unstuck in their chase in an entertaining affair last time out.

Having shocked the Stars in their previous contest, Hobart would have fully believed that they could produce a repeat result but a superb knock of 97* from Marcus Stoinis helped the Melbourne side to a big total of 183/6.

Ben McDermott gave his side a great platform to chase that score as he continued his brilliant form with 91 from 58 balls but he was offered very little support and his side ultimately fell ten runs short.
Sydney Thunder suffered a shock loss to Brisbane Heat as their five-match winning streak was ended as a quiet spell in the middle of their innings with the bat as well as some sloppy efforts in the field were their downfall.
On a nice track, the Thunder lost Usman Khawaja for a second-ball duck but Alex Hales made up for the loss of his opening partner as he whacked 46 off just 26 balls with late cameos from Daniel Sams and Ben Cutting helping the Sydney side to 174/8.
The Thunder then bowled eight wides while also making some poor errors in the field as they allowed the Heat to chase down their total with five wickets and five balls to spare but they are still well-placed on the ladder following what was just their second loss of the tournament.
Probable XI for both sides:-
Hobart Hurricanes – Ben McDermott, D’arcy Short, Dawid Malan, Colin Ingram, Peter Handscomb, Tim David, Johan Botha, Nathan Ellis, Riley Meredith, Sandeep Lamichhane, Scott Boland.

Sydney Thunder – Alex Hales, Usman Khawaja, Callum Ferguson, Oliver Davies, Sam Billings, Ben Cutting, Chris Green, Adam Milne, Chris Tremain, Nathan McAndrew, Tanveer Sangha.
