I have just driven to Lincoln to look at the cathedral.

Notice how the original heads have been removed because they were the Jews that built the cathedral. Look up Aaron of Lincoln
The Jesus statue was clearly added later on...looks a lot newer. And isn't built into the church.
Look how the limestone is falling to bits even where it has been protected by archway
