In this vast universe we supposedly live, where they say we are but a speck amongst specks, we ARE special enough to be the only "planet" who's moon happens to be 400 times smaller and 400 times closer to us then the sun. Hence, giving the appearance and "illusion" that they are the same size. It makes more sense to say, for lack of a better explanation, that they were designed that way.
