My theory that I've been working for a while gathering evidence is the fact castles were never built for little gay battles.
They are either for holding prisoners before they were hung
Outside Lincoln "castle" and many others there is a square where they would hang people.
The actual castles are never original and they are basically reconstructions of what they believe was originally there.
Lincoln castle admitted to me none of the stone work is original and it has all been repaired and replaced at some point in its history and the castle tower was infact never even there it was built from a drawing they found that may or may not of even been Lincoln.
Lincoln castle as always been used as a prison, the Victorian prison, now a museum lies within the castle grounds..as does the Crown Court.
Anyway...
