We are proud to announce the beta-launch of UFC (UseFairCoin) 3.0
It's been a great effort and teamwork within several members of FairCoop community who devoted themselves to bring all of us a renovated tool to find shops and services accepting FairCoin nearby.
This announcement is to call for testers who can help us try our brand new tool:
https://usefaircoin.org
Since the current https://use.fair-coin.org needs an urgent replacement, we are going to run the beta until this Sunday, March the 24th, after which we'll replace it with the new one.
Contact us on the UseFaircoin group https://t.me/usefaircoin or send an email to beta1@usefaircoin.org if you are testing and need to report any issue or ask questions.
Some tech details:
This site was developed as a webapp, using Ionic 4 + Angular 7 and it's a detached UI from the backend actually holding the data.
For that, we did customise current site's API to serve GeoJSON data which is used to display the listings with their geolocation.
If you are interested in implementing your own visualisation interface, you can pull the data live using the following API call:
http://use.fair-coin.org/wp-json/custom/v1/all-posts
The source code lives here (Ionic4+Angular7):
https://github.com/Xicnet/geodir
It could be used as a starting point for any alternative UI by beginners or top-developers since it's clean working code.
The next step will be to work on the backend, for which we need to discuss at a technical level the best way for implementing a federated architecture.
We will be updating you with news.

one week testing period has been through with no bugs reported regarding the functions of our new useFairCoin application. There's already a roadmap (multilanguage, categories,and others) and new features requested but they are scheduled for the next sprint.
Therefore, we've deployed our new tool to production as planned and are hereby announcing it publicly as the new useFairCoin v3.0
→ All ‘old’ links of https://use.fair-coin.org will redirect to the new domain usefaircoin.org
→ The database, for the time being, remains in the same WP backend.

We wanted to announce it today, April 17, [International Day of Peasant's Struggle] and the native seeds. 👩🌾👨🌾🌽🍅🥬🌱🌱🌱♻️✊🏾
On April 17, 1996, in the Amazonian state of Pará, the Brazilian military police massacred peasants and organized peasants of the MST (Movement of Landless Rural Workers).
There is no project or work more authentically productive than those of the countryside, and that is why no policy, company or state should ever be above the rights of peasants and of the land itself.
From Kolabora we would like to contribute, especially, to the autonomy of many projects based on land, seeds and peasant work because we understand that these are projects that will truly contribute to change the world.
