btw when a youtube channel tells you JUST to subscribe in exchange for winning a potential item in a giveaway there is a strong big chance the giveaway is fake and you can usually tell if they're ONLY telling you to subscribe and not to also comment or like etc

most youtube accounts are by default set to keep subscriptions private, so they won't know most of the people who are subscribed but let's say they are only counting the people with a public sub count: how do you get in touch with them?

private messages used to be a thing on youtube but now they are not

recently mentions have been introduced on the platform but they weren't a thing for the longest time and you can usually see when a channel is mentioned, something that almost never happens after a giveaway

there are legit giveaways on the platform ofc but you gotta always think like: how are they going to know who is participating and how are they going to find a way to contact you?
