I don't know a lot about tommyinnit when it comes to his Minecraft stuff (I was hooked on Wii and PS1 stuff when all of that happened and also frankly mostly sleeping 11h a day because covid lockdown was a great time) but his stand up stuff and recent just life updates video stuff is genuinely great holy shit
(Just watched him talk on piso's podcast which is a very weird and roundabout way to get to watch his stuff in 2025 I know)

besides all of this tbh i just would want more hardware that does not require me to give all of my data to god knows who just to have it work, this shit sucks

gonna clarify this since i don't want to sound like i am shilling for china or anything lmao
bytedance is still doing too much tracking for my taste lmao but at this moment i just do not trust or support meta at all, they have way more power of influencing real change for the worse and with their latest TOS changes they are willing to OPENLY do some terrible shit, this is pretty much it for me
so yeah they do both suck and we need more freedom in general from companies trying to track everything we do online lol

til i found out pico is actually run by bytedance had no idea til now, cool
ok i deleted my post about bytedance because i did realize it only after posting it that it sounded like shilling for them aaaaand yeah i don't want to do any of that even by chance
that + some friends that are in the group here sent me some sources proving that yeah bytedance and meta are pretty much both not great for different reasons
sooooo i guess we are fucked either way and we should buy whatever hardware is best from whoever we think is worth our money then figure out the best practices to debloat it or at least avoid as much tracking as possible
i know that is not as exciting of an answer as "this company is bad this one is not" (that wasn't what i ever meant ofc) but it is and has been the reality of things for a while now lol
