Organization: Ethiopian Society of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (ESPHO) 
Position: Research Assistant 
Employment Type: Permanent Appointment 
Duty Station: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 


The Research Assistant will support research initiatives, data analysis, and evidence-based programs aimed at improving pediatric hematology and oncology care in Ethiopia. The role involves assisting in the design and implementation of clinical and public health research projects.

▎Key Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of clinical and public health research projects.
• Prepare research reports, technical briefs, and manuscripts for publication.
• Assist in developing research proposals and grant applications.
• Collaborate with clinicians, researchers, and partners to enhance pediatric hematology and oncology services.
• Conduct data analysis and contribute to evidence-based program development.


▎Education:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Medicine (MD), or a related field.

▎Experience:

• Experience in health research and data analysis is desirable.
• Experience with data collection tools such as ODK, REDCap, or similar is an advantage.

▎Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, or similar).
• Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.

▎Personal Attributes:

• Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
