In Gaza, where hunger and destruction consume everything, among stones still breathing death, two little girls played on their bicycle — as if they had wandered out of a Disney film.
There is war... there is killing... famine... and rivers of blood...
Yet there is also love that screams for life, beauty that blooms from the ashes, and a childhood stubbornly refusing to vanish.
As I gazed at those two little girls, my soul whispered:
Do they deserve death, or a life that honors the purity of their hearts?

في غزة التي يلتهمه الجوع والدمار، وبين حجارةٍ تتنفس الموت، كانت هاتان الطفلتان تلعبانِ بدراجتهما، كأنهما
جاءتا من فيلم ديزني...ثمة حرب... وقتل... ومجاعة... ودماء...لكن ثمة أيضًا حبٌّ يصرخ، وجمالٌ يُولد من بين هذا الرماد، وطفولةٌ تأبى أن تندثر.
عندما نظرت لهاتين الطفلتين، سألتني روحي:
أحقًا يستحقون الموت؟ أم حياة تليق بنقائهم؟
