Let's think through what that means.
Donald Trump now controls the entire federal government. Mere elections will not persuade him to step down. The Democrats' "vote harder" strategy is laughable in this context.
At the very least, his opponents must prepare for another January 6, under much worse conditions. Trump's decision to allocate $1.8 billion to a fund that could reward those prosecuted for the January 6, 2021 uprising suggests that he is laying the groundwork for another such attempt.
Centrists have used the events of January 6 to discredit the very measures that we should be preparing to take if we do not wish to live under autocracy forever.
