Ahmad Hassan Zaid, a Yemeni vocal commentator and the son of a slain Houthi minister:

Back in 2018, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and their hired fighters — including some from Sudan — launched a massive attack on Yemen’s west coast.

They managed to completely surround a small town near Hudaydah called al-Durayhimi, home to around 7,000 people.

Inside the town, about 100 fighters from the Yemeni army held their ground and managed to stop tens of thousands of enemy forces from taking over.

The attackers came at them from every direction, but those 100 resisted fiercely — and every time the enemy broke through, they pushed them right back.

When the Saudis, Emiratis, and their mercenaries realized they couldn’t take the town by force, they decided to starve it instead.

They put the town under siege for 790 days — that’s over two years of total blockade.

For two whole years, they waited for everyone inside to die of hunger. But with Allah’s help and the determination of the Yemeni army, that plan completely failed.

About 40 days into the siege, the army came up with a crazy-smart idea: they took some of their missiles, removed the warheads, loaded them with food, and fired them into the town to get supplies in.

Finally, in 2020, the Yemeni army broke the siege and saved the town.

So seriously, don’t expect the same people who starved al-Durayhimi for over two years to feel any sympathy for Gaza — or to actually lift a finger to help.
