Your heart needs to be healed before you move into certain spiritual things.
Your mistakes should not make you miss God but rather, receive God's Redemption truth to heal your heart.

How God heals the heart is through the revelation of His Love. After the Lord heals the heart, He directs it.
God does seek to control you, He wants to align you, and bring you into your originality and your true self, because your true self is actually Him.

You don't become discerning by being discerning, but by observing and living according to certain spiritual principles of God in the scriptures.

One of the keys to developing your discerning ability is obedience.
A person who will operate in discernment will be obedient and submissive to authority.
