Parenting is new for me. A balancing act of patience, understanding, and discipline. Caring for my wife after our natural birth, a house, job and a baby girl, the list goes on. Puting time into one thing detracts from another. It really feels like my actions carry weight to a child's life, MY child's life. It bears a heavy sinking feeling, scared I'm going to make a mistake, lose my patience on my family, become too busy or let my health and fitness slip away from me.

It feels so easy to fail and even harder to succeed. But this role that Men, that Father's have is one we can't shy away from. This role isn't something you can half ass. Your job, life, health, and skills all go into your family. Into children that will bear more children.

The parenting done now impacts the parenting of literal generations after you. That's absolutely incredible to think about. It makes me think of simply doing my absolute best in all that I do because all that I do is for my family.
