Forwarded from St Alphonsus Liguori
We contemplate how, the third day after His death, Jesus Christ rose again triumphant and glorious, to die no more. Let us consider the glory of our Redeemer when He arose from the sepulchre, after having vanquished Satan, and delivered the human race from bondage. How great is the folly of the sinner who, having been once delivered from the tyranny of the devil, consents to become again his slave for some wretched gain or some miserable pleasure of this world! Let us pray to the Blessed Virgin to unite us by love so closely to Jesus Christ that we may never again by mortal sin become the slaves of Lucifer.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Matthew 7:2 "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
Brothers there are a great many things which seek to trap and destroy a man's soul. But there is one which is most dangerous and that is pride. Pride will blind a man's spiritual eyes and lead him to his eternal destruction all the while saying "I am being righteous, or I am being just" we are called to cry aloud all the day and all the night woe lord have mercy on me a sinner. When we look to our Lord Jesus the source of perfection and the new Adam we see that when he talks with the traitors of his nation (publicans) he does not revile them, when he speaks with the prostitutes he does not revile them, when he speaks with the thieves on the cross not even them does he revile. Why then brothers do we hate our fellow man all the day long? With what will we see Christ if we live our whole life blinded by sin? With what will Christ see us if we refuse to see him in everyone? God bless

The Litany of Hearts - An Original Meditation
Online Catholics will say you can never receive the Eucharist in hand because their sin is from the fingers which type not from the mouth from which their words defile them
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, to Thee I consecrate and offer up my person and my life, my actions, trials, and sufferings, that my entire being may henceforth only be employed in loving, honoring and glorifying Thee. This is my irrevocable will, to belong entirely to Thee, and to do all for Thy love, renouncing with my whole heart all that can displease Thee.
I take Thee, O Sacred Heart, for the sole object of my love, the protection of my life, the pledge of my salvation, the remedy of my frailty and inconstancy, the reparation for all the defects of my life, and my secure refuge at the hour of my death. Be Thou, O Most Merciful Heart, my justification before God Thy Father, and screen me from His anger which I have so justly merited. I fear all from my own weakness and malice, but placing my entire confidence in Thee, O Heart of Love, I hope all from Thine infinite Goodness. Annihilate in me all that can displease or resist Thee. Imprint Thy pure love so deeply in my heart that I may never forget Thee or be separated from Thee.
I beseech Thee, through Thine infinite Goodness, grant that my name be engraved upon Thy Heart, for in this I place all my happiness and all my glory, to live and to die as one of Thy devoted servants.
Amen.
