Pope Leo XIV about Faith
... Even today, there are many settings in which the Christian faith is considered absurd, meant for the weak and unintelligent. Settings where other securities are preferred, like technology, money, success, power, or pleasure.
These are contexts where it is not easy to preach the Gospel and bear witness to its truth, where believers are mocked, opposed, despised or at best tolerated and pitied. Yet, precisely for this reason, they are the places where our missionary outreach is desperately needed.
A lack of faith is often tragically accompanied by the loss of meaning in life, the neglect of mercy, appalling violations of human dignity, the crisis of the family and so many other wounds that afflict our society.
Today, too, there are many settings in which Jesus, although appreciated as a man, is reduced to a kind of charismatic leader or superman. This is true not only among non-believers but also among many baptized Christians, who thus end up living, at this level, in a state of practical atheism.
This is the world that has been entrusted to us ...

βPray the Rosary every day. Pray, pray a lot! And make sacrifices for sinners, that many souls go to Hell, because there is no one to sacrifice and ask for them.β

Contraception Is evil . It is a grave Sin !
The Catholic Church's teaching on contraception is firmly rooted in the encyclical Humanae Vitae, issued by Pope Paul VI in 1968. This document reaffirms the Church's stance that artificial contraception is intrinsically immoral, as it disrupts the "inseparable connection" between the unitive and procreative purposes of the marital act (Humanae Vitae, Article 12).

Β°βWhen a man loves a woman, he has to become worthy of her. The higher her virtue, the more noble her character, the more devoted she is to truth, justice, goodness, the more a man has to aspire to be worthy of her. The history of civilization could actually be written in terms of the level of its women.β β Ven. Fulton SheenΒ°

I used to wonder what single men did with their sexual desires before the sexual revolution. I think I have the answer now.
They yearned.
They yearned for their crush or dream girl.
They liked the chase.
The fact that women back then carried themselves with grace only added to it.

Reminds me of a story of St John Vienney.
St Vienney has just come home and when he walked into his living room he saw the devil sat down reclining at a chair. He just chuckled mildly to himself and carried on about his business, the devil, indignant about his affront to his pride said βAre you not afraid of me?β And St Vienney humbly replied βMoiseur, I am a baptised Christian, you are afraid of meβ. He then threw holy water at the door and at the windows trapping the devil inside, got on his knees and starting praying and praising the glory of God, to the anguish of the devil. After a few minutes he got bored with this and kicked him out.
St Vienney also remarked at how the devil who often harassed and attacked him at night would throw his greatest fits and tantrums at him the night before a particularly nefarious sinner would come to town to confess to him. How much does the devil do this in our life, obscured in the unknown and indirect to keep us from confession?
(I am paraphrasing slightly, I only heard this story once but to the best of my knowledge this is all accurate, though it may be apocryphal, I cant vouch the authenticity of this account)

This is true, and especially true for married men. Flee from taking pleasure in looking women other than your wife. Flee from glances at their faces, bodies and clothes. Free from anything that feeds it, excessive good food, excessive pleasure, sensuality, hearing stories about sexual conquest, fantasising. Instead pray to the Lord to help you love your wife, to be patient with her, to cherish her, to be understanding with her, and to teach her in the ways of the Lord. True Orthodoxy, when it is lived out in a marriage, creates a heavenly dwelling, a small island of peace, love and joy. It creates a home, a place healthy children can grow up, a place one can look forward to coming back to, a place visitors and guests love. This is the truth about emptying yourself and making space for the holy spirit to dwell in us first, then in our marriage and home.
You may be the one who is being patient, while your spouse is not patient with you. But pray to the Lord, for he has the power to bring heaven down to earth.
