In Jan–Apr 2026, Russia imported over 15,000 tons of Georgian wine worth more than $45 million — up 6% YoY. Russia still accounts for around 65% of Georgia’s total wine exports, remaining the key foreign market.
February showed especially strong growth:

At the same time, imports of other Georgian alcoholic beverages are also rising fast. Georgian whisky exports to Russia jumped 77x in early 2026, making Russia the main export destination for local producers.

During the first 4 months of 2026 (excluding April data for EAEU countries), Russian ice cream exports exceeded 3.5 thousand tons worth around USD 19 million. Compared to the same period in 2025, export volumes increased by 12% in weight and by 29% in value.
Top importers by value:
✅ Uzbekistan — 29% share
✅ Kazakhstan — 26% share
✅ Belarus — 15% share
✅ Mongolia — 7% share
✅ Abkhazia — 4% share
The main drivers of export growth in January–April 2026 compared to the same period last year were shipments to Armenia (up 6.6 times to USD 330 thousand) and Uzbekistan (up 2.4 times to USD 5.5 million). Exports to South Korea and Kyrgyzstan also increased significantly (+86%), as well as to Tajikistan (+55%) and Abkhazia (+51%), among other markets worldwide.
Overall, in 2026 Russia exported ice cream to more than 40 countries worldwide.

At the Eurasian Economic Forum, Russia announced the first successful cross-border commercial delivery by an autonomous truck carrying real cargo from Russia to Kazakhstan. So far, 101 autonomous trucks have already covered more than 14.5 million km on Russian roads without accidents.
For importers, this could mean faster deliveries, lower logistics costs, and more predictable supply chains — especially for Chinese goods moving through Kazakhstan into the Eurasian market.
