💼✨ $240M Promise That Changed a Town
When Graham Walker sold Fibrebond for $1.7B, he did something extraordinary:
he gave $240M (15%) of the deal directly to 540 employees in Minden, Louisiana — even though they owned no shares.
Workers paid off homes, funded college, started small businesses, and finally felt secure about retirement. Local shops saw a surge, and the whole town felt the impact.
Walker told buyers one thing upfront:
“No deal unless employees come first.”
A rare example of leadership, loyalty, and real impact. 👏

Russia’s unemployment hits a new historic low
Russia’s unemployment rate fell to a record 2.1% in November 2025, slightly below analysts’ expectations of 2.2%, continuing a trend of historically low joblessness.
The total number of unemployed dropped to 1.636 million, down from 1.657 million in October and well below 1.797 million a year earlier. At the same time, officially registered unemployment edged up marginally to 352,000.
The labor market remains extremely tight across all sectors. This is driven by widespread labor shortages, intensified by military conscription, expanded hiring in the defense industry following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine, and emigration.
Authorities warn that the labor shortage could worsen in the coming years, potentially reaching 2.5–5 million workers, posing serious challenges for economic growth and workforce availability in civilian industries.

India Overtakes Japan as 4th Largest Economy – 1 January 2026
On 31 December 2025, the Indian government announced that India has become the world’s fourth largest economy, with a GDP of $4.18 trillion, surpassing Japan.
India is projected to overtake Germany, current 3rd largest economy by 2030 with a GDP of $7.3 trillion. Real GDP grew 8.2% in Q2 2025-26, driven by strong private consumption, stable inflation, and improving financial conditions.
For the commodity industry, this is a major development. Rising economic growth means higher demand for sugar, soybeans, edible oils, energy, and other essential commodities.
Exporters and traders can expect uptrending orders, while domestic supply chains will become more crucial. Strong urban consumption and credit availability provide a stable environment for long-term contracts and investment.
International agencies such as the IMF, World Bank, and Moody’s project India’s growth above 6% through 2026.
