HOW TO GENERATE A JAMB PROFILE CODE
Every candidate will require the use of a unique phone (mobile) number (SIM) for the process of registration. The unique phone number can be used by one candidate only (Note: This number (SIM) remains your unique identification for all your transactions with the board).
Candidate will send his/her National Identification Number (NIN) by text (SMS) to 55019 or 66019 from his/her personal GSM number
Example; write the word “NIN” then space and add your 11 digit NIN Number and send to 55019 or 66019 in this format (NIN 00123456789).
There should be a space between the word “NIN” and your 11 digit NIN (Note that the number must not have been used by another person to register for UTME/DE in the past).
Do not use postpaid or special bundle SIM cards, They don’t work unless specially loaded with credit.
A Profile Code of 10 characters is received by the candidate on the same telephone(SIM) number
The phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the candidate’s 2022 application, Examination and Admission.
Candidate will present the profile code at the point of procurement of form (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). An ePIN is then sent as text message to the candidate’s Phone number.

ALL ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES TO REGISTER CANDIDATES FOR NOUN, PART-TIME, SANDWICH, AND DISTANCE LEARNING
Following the request from the Computer Based Test centre owners to be allowed to perform certain specialised operations and further broaden access to the Board services, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has decided to allow all accredited Computer-Based Centres to handle one of its critical operations that was, hitherto, restricted to only JAMB offices nationwide.
Consequently, with effect from Tuesday, 22nd, February 2022, candidates can visit any CBT centre nearest to them nationwide to access this particular service. The particular service being liberalised is the registration of candidates who wish to obtain application forms for Part-Time, Sandwich, National Open University of Nigeria(NOUN), and Distance Learning programmes.
As a proactive agency, the Board decides to decongest the huge crowds being witnessed at its various facilities. With this, candidates do not have to visit the Board’s offices for this particular service as it can be obtained at all registered CBT centres nationwide.
Accredited CBT centres are, by this announcement, cautioned not to charge more than the regulated N700 service charge for registration into the aforementioned programmes.
These categories of candidates are not part of the newly-introduced cashless policy and, are, therefore, to pay N700 at the registration point using ATM cards.
However, UTME/DE candidates are to note that the service charge for the application documents is already included as part of their e-PIN fees in line.
