WAEC ANNOUNCES DATE TO RELEASE 2021 WASSCE RESULTS

The West African Examinations Council wishes to update its numerous publics on the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for School Condidates 2021.

Coordination and Marking exercises have been completed and processing of results as well as other post-examination activities are ongoing as we make frantic effort to release the results on Saturday, 27 November, 2021 at 16:00 hours.

The council cautions candidates to be wary of websites announcing the release of the results and of persons who promise to upgrade results for a fee. These are activities of fraudsters and all stakeholders are hereby alerted accordingly. Furthermore, the council urges all Institutions to always authenticate results presented to them.

WAEC RELEASES 2021 WASSCE RESULTS: 80.56% FULLY PROCESSED, 19.44% STILL BEING PROCESSED

The West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE for School Candidates, 2021 in Nigeria have been released with a total of 80.56 percent fully processed, and 19.44 percent still being processed due to some issues being resolved

The Head of Nigeria National office of the Council on Monday, Mr. Patrick Areghan disclosed this on Monday where he announced that a total of One Million, Five Hundred and Seventy-Three Thousand, Eight Hundred and Forty-Nine (1,573,849) candidates registered for the examination from Nineteen Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty Five (19,425) recognized secondary schools in the country. of the number that registered for the examination, One Million, Five Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty One (1,560,261) candidates sat the examination. The examination spanned seven weeks, between August 16 and October 8, 2021.

Out of the total number of candidates that sat the examination in Nigeria, One Million, Two Hundred and Fifty-Six Thousand, Nine Hundred and Ninety (1,256,990) candidates, representing 80.56% have their results fully processed and released while Three Hundred and Three Thousand, Two Hundred and Seventy One (303,271) candidates, representing 19.44% have a few of their subjects still being processed due to some issues being resolved. Efforts are, however, being made to speedily complete the processing to enable all the affected candidates to get their results fully processed and released within the next week.

The analysis of the statistics of the performance of candidates in the examination shows that out of the One Million, Five Hundred and Sixty Thousand, Two Hundred and Sixty One (1,560,261) candidates that sat the examination.

One Million, Three Hundred and Ninety-Eight Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy (1,398,370) candidates, representing 89.62%, obtained credit and above in a minimum of any five (5) subjects (i.e with or without English Language and/ or Mathematics.

One Million, Two Hundred and Seventy Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty-Four (1,274,784) candidates, representing 81.7%, obtained credits and above in a minimum of five (5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
WAEC: 2022 WASSCE TO BE CONDUCTED IN MAY/JUNE

The Head of Nigeria National Office, West African Examination Council, WAEC, Mr Patrick Areghan has announced that the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, will be conducted in May/June.

Accordingly, as a result of the return to normalcy, the Honourable Minister of Education has requested that the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022 should be conducted in May/June 2022.

The WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022 will be taking place in May/June 2022. Entries for the examination will be floated on Monday, December 6, 2021.

The board disclosed that from 2022, the cost of registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE, has been raised from N13,950 to N18,000 to meet the demands of economic reality.

A part of this new fee has been dedicated to the enhancement of the remunerations for the various examination functionaries and our Governing Board has graciously approved the remunerations, which will come into effect from the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022.
HOW TO CHECK 2021 MAY/JUNE SSCE WAEC RESULTS ONLINE

This is to inform the general public that the results of candidates who sat for the 2021 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE for School Candidates has been released online. The results are being uploaded on the results website.

Candidates who sat for the examination and who have fulfilled their financial obligations to the Council can access their performance on the Council’s results website.

Needless to restate fact that the results of indebted candidates/Schools/States will not be released until they pay up.

The Result Checker PIN and Serial Number required by candidates to check their results online are contained on the Candidate’s Smart Identity Card used during the conduct of the examination. Certificates of candidates whose results have been fully processed and released will be ready within the next 90 days, counting from today.

2021 WAEC May/June & GCE Held, Withheld, Outstanding, and No Result Meaning

1. Meaning of WAEC Withheld WAEC Result:
This occurs when almost all the candidates in a particular center had the same grade (i.e copying from another candidate). WAEC will further investigate the result. UNIABUJA EXTENDS POST UTME APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION
