Listen everything throughout his life was literally because he yearned for it. He yearned for research. He yearned to be accepted. He literally did everything to not be seen as a monster but he was seen as one either way and even now throughout multiple forms of his boss fights we CONSTANTLY see Sumeru aspects in him and it genuinely shows his deep and utter yearning for the nation. Even as a lover, I feel like he’d be the very very secretive yearner type. He’ll never admit it to you, never even to himself, but he can’t deny the feelings either
