I have such a good idea for this but it involves chibi animation fuck my life
Like this is the only thing from the comics I’m incorporating into their dynamic
I think it’s really cute how despite Bucky being THE winter soldier, him adopting this random stray cat is such a funny and cute contrast to his concept
And for Quinn, the reason I’ll incorporate Alpine is because of Quinn’s trauma of killing animals
She was forced to target and kill animals under Hydra for “better aim practice” and to lessen her morality, so I think her living with Alpine would kind of force her subconscious to adjust
Quinn is just one of those people who couldn’t care less about humans but she GENUINELY still feels so much guilt over animal hunting
Alpine turns into her child like she’s mother to that cat
I think for Quinn there’s very few things that she genuinely deeply cares about and cries over.
One of them was of course her perfectionism to her aiming. When you’re under severe trauma of “aim 100% in the center orrrrr get tortured” then you sort of develop this need for perfection in your performance for survival. This however got better over time because I have an arc of her training under the Dora Milaje in Wakanda and her getting humbled intensely by Ayo.
The other would probably be Bucky but over time
But for Alpine… that’s her fucking baby. That’s genuinely her baby. Like at first she felt really uncomfortable with Alpine because well, you look at the animal and all you can remember is how you shot other animals before this so it kind of freaks you out. There aren’t a lot of things that make Quinn uncomfortable but this certainly did. Until eventually she learned to live with it and live with the presence of Alpine so now if ANYTHING happens to her, Quinn will genuinely lose her shit she LOVES this cat
