I’m always so surprised even here in Europe people are just so… they’re so dull. In a happy way. They get shocked by basic politics and I’m like wow. Man I wish I was fucking born here like you. I wish half my life wasn’t spent depressed and miserable in my home country knowing how my government was killing my people since the ripe age of 7 I wish I was that fucking ignorant I wish I never fucking knew what politics was.

But I do. I do and I’ll never escape that dread. I may have escaped the land but I’m still broken and I’ll never be fixed as long as my people are still dying. I’ll never be able to undo the mental and physical and emotional trauma and damage of living in Iran. My anxiety came from it my worries and insomnia came from it I’ll never be happy as long as I’m an Iranian and I’m still facing disrespect and guilt even outside of that place. We’ve faced so much injustice that we’re used to it.
